About Bawkhaleshwar Mandir :
This temple complex is a hidden gem. It is surrounded by industry in Navi Mumbai. It is a huge complex and very well kept and clean. It is a peaceful place and not very popular so not full of people. There is no entry fee and ample parking on the road.
This complex has 3 small temples. All the temples are made of marble and situated near a hill. There is a small water pond.
I am surprised to see such place in Navi Mumbai. Place is quite clean, peaceful, real temple experience in nature.
A neat and clean temple with mediocre architecture,but will set you with the inner peace that one requires in this hectic lifestyle, the Pandits are very knowledgeable.
The view from there is very scenic.
Total 3 temple Shiva Temple, Ganesh Temple & Devi Temple, very nice place, watterfall greenery, garden, ample parking space, peace, everyone have to visit this place.

The Balaji Temple is the situated in Nerul, Navi Mumbai which is built on the lines of Venkateshwara Temple at Tirupati and has been constructed according to the Shilpashastras. The main deity is Lord Balaji, in addition to Lord Balaji there are deities like Ganapathy, Anjaneyar in sitting (yoga) position, Narasimhar and Padbavathy Thayar. There is a sannathy for Ramanujar also and it is known that Ganapathy Sannathy in a Balaji temple is unusual as per practice in the South, the reason maybe due to the stature of Ganapati in Maharashtra.
The concept of having a temple of Ishta-devata in the residential complexes and even at homes is ancient in India.
This concept emphasises the proximity of the deity and the devotee.
It helps to the total surrender of jeevatma to the Paramatma.
On 18th April 1990 the SLN sabha was inaugurated by Dr. S Venkata Varadan, Director Nehru Planetarium, Mumbai. and soon after a few months i.e. on 4th August 1990, it was registered as a public trust.
From this date onwards the SLN sabha started many ambitious and genuine projects, considering the need of people residing at Nerul.
At first, the sabha decided to build a temple of Lord Venkateshvara.
The things worked out fast with the efforts of the members, and on 8th December 1991, on a pre-decided site at Nerul, Bhoomi poojan for the temple was performed by Shankaracharya Swamiji of Kanchi Kamkoti Peetham.

Bombay High Court raps Navi Mumbai Police Chief & MIDC CEO over illegal Bawkhaleshwar Temple
Ganesh Naik promoted Bhavkaleshwar Trust seems to have lost its final attempt to save the temple premises. There were talks that the temple might get relief when it went to Supreme Court but the SC too upheld the decision of the Bombay High Court to demolish the illegal temple. It may be recalled that Ganesh Naik promoted Bhavkaleshwar Trust’s advocates had blotched the case since the time the petitioner Sandeep Thakur had gone to court. One example being that they had said that Ganesh Naik had nothing to do with the temple. While its known that the temple is owned by Ganesh Naik. With no regard of law and innumerable legal flaws, it doesn’t come as a surprise that the temple will be demolished. When the case came for hearing in the Bombay High Court this week, the bench rapped the Navi Mumbai police for going beyond the call of their duty. The bench questioned who gave police authority to question policy of MIDC and said their duty is to only reply whether they will give police force or not. The bench also said that if the MIDC CEO and Navi Mumbai Police still continue to give excuses for not demolishing the temple, the HC will be forced to show its majesty to them. The court also advised MIDC not to give time and date on record as problem creators can create problems. The temple trustees counsel told the court that they will take the idols from the temple. The court recorded it and has given date of November 26 for compliance of court order. Sandeep Thakur says that the delay in action shows how Ganesh Naik managed the police and MIDC. The challenge is now of the Navi Mumbai Police Commissioner Sanjay Kumar to ensure that the court order is implemented and as Bhavkaleshwar temple, that has been a symbol of Ganesh Naik's might and hold in Navi Mumbai crumbles down to dust, law and order is maintained in Navi Mumbai.

Former Minister Ganesh Naik has broken his silence on Bhavkaleshwar temple that was demolished last year on an order passed in petition filed by social activist Sandeep Thakur. This happened in the backdrop of a book printed by a NCP worker Shirish Veta that tells the story of how Bhavkaleshwar temple was demolished and also shows a cartoon depicting that Uddhav Thackeray was behind it. Ganesh Naik informed the media that the book was printed before Mahashivratri this year.
“UDDHAV THACKERAY WAS BEHIND DEMOLISHING BHAVKALESHWAR TEMPLE”
In this press conference called prior to the election code of conduct, in a fit of complete rage Ganesh Naik alleged that Uddhav Thackeray was behind demolishing Bhavkaleshwar temple even as Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis did attempt saving it.
“UDDHAV THACKERAY’S FAITH IN GOD IS FAKE”
Ganesh Naik’s anger outburst on Uddhav Thackeray continued as he said that his faith was fake. Ganesh Naik said that on one side he wants to save Ayodhya temple and on another he demolished Bhavkaleshwar temple.
“OPPONENTS ANGER FOR GANESH NAIK WAS TAKEN OUT ON BHAVKALESHWAR”
Ganesh Naik confessed that he met Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis on the issue of Bhavkaleshwar but despite that, the anger and hatred his opponents have for Ganesh Naik was taken out on the temple. He challenged Uddhav Thackeray to come clean on his role in demolishing Bhavkaleshwar temple.
“WOULD HAVE MADE SLUMS FOR VOTE BANKS IF I WANTED TO ENCROACH LAND”
Ganesh Naik said that if they had any selfish interest to grab land, they would have built slums that could be used as vote banks and not a temple.
“I DARE SHIV SENA TO PURSUE COMPLAINT ON BOOK PRINTED ON BHAVKALESHWAR TEMPLE”
Earlier the same day, Shiv Sena had called for a press conference in which arch rival Vijay Nahata had informed the media that they had caught the books on Bhavkaleshwar temple and would complain about it in the election commission. Ganesh Naik challenged the Shiv Sena and asked them to pursue the complaint, saying that the more the issue gets highlighted the more Shiv Sena will have to pay all over Maharashtra.
Even before the results of the Lok Sabha elections are awaited, the heat of assembly elections can already be felt across Maharashtra and more so in Navi Mumbai where this time Ganesh Naik will face a direct battle with Shiv Sena’s Vijay Nahata and BJP’s Manda Mhatre. It’s another story that if alliance happens, one of them from the saffron alliance will be out of the race. But no matter whether Vijay Nahata or Manda Mhatre, whosoever contests, between Ganesh Naik and his rivals, Bhavkaleshwar temple is surely going to be one of the issues that will echo in Maharashtra assembly elections in October this year.
