About the Boats
The Ultimate is a 12 meter (40ft) ex cray boat converted to charter. Being an ex-offshore work vessel, she is very stable and handles the weather beautifully. She also has a fly bridge to sit and sip bubbles if you like.
The Ultimate can be everything from the serious fishing trip right through to the perfect party boat. Licensed by Marine Safety Victoria to carry 34 passengers plus crew, we limit the size of our groups to a maximum of 25 during daylight hours and 20 for the evening trip.
Our 2 vessels, 40′ “The Ultimate” and 33′ “Charisma” have both been fitted out for your comfort, with excellent toilet facilities, seating and shelter. In addition, both vessels have up to date electronic equipment to help find those sometimes elusive fish. Our fully trained staff will take you through the operation of this equipment if you wish.
Both boats also have large BBQ’s, plenty of room to move freely around the boat. We work hard to ensure we have everything onboard to make you feel comfortable and meet your every need during your charter.
Our staff are all fully qualified and highly experienced in all aspects of their roles. Not only have our staff been selected for their qualifications on the water, but also for their experience and knowledge of fishing and in particular, Port Phillip Bay. As well as experience, their personality and sense of humour create a relaxed and friendly environment, one where you will feel confident and at ease throughout your trip.

Was a really good day of Fishing, I managed to bag out on squid. I managed to get some footage of most of them :)
I usually wouldn't take that much squid home but I have a 4 day fishing trip coming up and thought I should go out for some fresh bait.

You have a few different fishing tours to choose from with Top Gun charters, depending on the time of year that you want to go.
April goes to the Abrolhos Islands on a 5 day charter
May to August sees you head out from Carnarvon for 5 days
September to November takes you to the Monte Bello Islands on a 6 day charter
Decmeber to March are day trips from Perth to Rottnest Island
We went out with Top Gun Charters on their 5 day live aboard fishing adventure from Carnarvon to the Bernier Islands.
Their Top Gun II fishing vessel is custom built for comfort and space. You have a comfortable berth either inside the boat or out on the deck (undercover of course).
It is a 3 hour trip out there but the lines are in the water trolling along the way so no time is wasted. And as the fish bit, the excitement kicks in.
Our skipper Aldo is very experienced and is always ensuring that we are in the right spot for the fish. Having the time available allows everyone to be able to take it easy without having to feel they have to be catching fish the whole time.
We take the tender to check out the now deserted island, swim with manta rays, catch some crays, and drink beer. Everyone one the boat bonds really well and storys are shared - especially the story of 'the massive one that got away'.
At the end of the 5 days new friends are made and sufficient fish are caught for everyone to take home about 15kg of fish each. They even snap freeze them and pack them for you to make it easy to get home.
