Kotor and the Bay of Kotor - Montenegro, HD Video Tour
Town of Kotor and the Bay of Kotor - Montenegro, Short HD Video Tour - October 2013.
Kotorski Zaliv i Kotor Stari Grad - Crna Gora.
Enjoy...
Kotor, first mentioned in 168 BC, was settled during Ancient Roman times, when it was known as Acruvium. Kotor has been fortified since the early Middle Ages, when Emperor Justinian built a fortress above Acruvium in 535, after expelling the Ostrogoths. Today's Old City of Kotor is a well preserved medieval town, built between the 12th and 14th century. Medieval architecture and numerous monuments of cultural heritage have made Kotor an UNESCO listed World Natural and Historical Heritage Site. Through the entire city the buildings are criss-crossed with narrow streets and squares.
Cathedral of Saint Tryphon (Sveti Tripun) is a monument of Roman culture and one of the most recognizable symbols of the city. The Church of Saint Luke (Sveti Luka) from the 13th century, Church of Saint Ana (Sveta Ana) from the 12th century, Church of Saint Mary (Sveta Marija) from the 13th century, Church of the Healing Mother of God (Gospe od Zdravlja) from the 15th century, the Prince's Palace from the 17th century and the Napoleon's Theatre from the 19th century are all treasures that are part of the rich heritage of Kotor.
Europe's most underrated City | Bay of Kotor, Montenegro
The Bay of Kotor is quite possibly one of the best cities in all of Europe. It certainly makes our top 5 list, and yet we almost accidentally stumbled on it. I'm not sure why no one is talking about it, but this has to be Europe's most underrated city.

Hi! We are Heather, Bradey, Alexa and Chloe.
We are raising our kids to face their fears, to step outside of their comfort zones and to try new things. Family travel is the best way we know how to do this.
We want to inspire others to travel with an open mind and to see that it is completely possible to travel and fly with kids! Traveling is one of the best things we have ever done to strengthen our family, and to open up our minds about how big this world is.
Thanks for following along :)

Pestingrad peak above Kotor (Bay of Kotor, Montenegro)
Pestingrad peak (1009m above sea level) is located above Kotor under Djerinski vrh (1098m above sea level). It can be reached by hiking trail from Njegusi place via Knez Do hamlet. Trail is 1,4km long from the first signpost. The trail is easy to cross, but caution is required on the final section on which the protective ropes are mounted. The view from Pestingrad is impossible to describe in words. It needs to be experienced.
