His HIghness the Amir inspects venue & preparations for upcoming conventions in Kuwait
His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah and His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah inspected the preparations at Bayan Palace for the forthcoming conventions, particularly the 3rd African-Arab Summit, the 34th GCC Summit and the 2nd International Pledging Conference for Syria.
His Highness was briefed about other mega renovation projects, namely Al-Shaheed (Martyr's) Park in Sharq, where a martyrs' statute would be built. He also inspected a building depicting the martyr and Kuwaiti battles, connected with Al-Shaab gate and plans to construct a pool,decorated with the National Flag in the center.
The project includes the visitors' building which encompasses restaurants, cafes and the constitution statute, which would be inaugurated by His Highness the Amir, next year, in addition to a museum for plants and birds native to the Kuwaiti desert. The project, which was launched in April, would be completed in the same month in 2014.
His Highness the Amir was also briefed about the project of Farwaniya courts complex in Reggae area, as well as designs to build the Jahra court complex in northwest Jahra. This project, which began in October, would be completed in September 2015.
Sheikh Sabah was apprised of another venture, the botanical park in Bayan Palace, due to conclude in February 2014. It includes a botanic nursery to secure beautification plants for Seif and Bayan palaces, in addition to a glass garden containing Mediterranean, Japanese and Equatorial plants, as well a butterfly sanctuary and a man-made lake.
Moreover, His Highness the Amir was briefed about the Jaber Al-Ahmad Cultural Complex project which includes a 3,200-seat theatre, studios, a musical center and a children's library.
The sketches of this site, to be located in the Flag Square, also include a conventions hall, a theatre, an archive, Amiri Diwan offices, stores and cafes.
