Presumably this building, in a remote spot, became derelict because it was built on the river side of the flood bank?

Field House Farm, Chapelfield Road, Goxhill, North Lincolnshire
House Farm is a spacious family home in a tranquil country setting
and as the present owners wanted a rural childhood for their young
family in a home where everyone could enjoy their own space, they
were delighted to find the house. Nineteen years later they still
appreciate the lifestyle that their home has provided. The house sits along
a quiet and pretty country road only two miles from the active village of
Goxhill and approximately four miles from the charming town of Barton
upon Humber with its independent shops and restaurants. The easy
access to the M180 and M62 facilitates commuting to Hull, Beverley,
Scunthorpe and Grimsby.
Field House Farm offers a pleasing choice of rooms and its two lounges
have very different but complimentary functions. The family room is
perfect for large gatherings with room for people to sit round chatting
whilst in the summer the patio doors are opened to make room and
garden feel as one pleasing whole. The second lounge is situated away
from the general hubbub of the house and makes an ideal adult retreat
where it is soothing to sit and read in its calm ambience. The kitchen is
the centre of family activity and is a busy hub where daily meals are
enjoyed and is the first port of call when children arrive home from
school. The dining room is conveniently situated off the kitchen and its
dual function is as a pleasant setting for formal dining or as an excellent
place for children to sit round the table and do their homework.
The house is at its best when full of people and has been the scene of
many happy occasions. Traditionally, childhood groups have met for
annual social events and now gatherings of friends can enjoy the house
but also overflow to the two log cabins in the garden. The two bedrooms
and shower room in the extension have their own staircase from the
family room making an excellent self-contained area for teenagers or
guests and there are views across the peaceful garden and countryside
