| LESSONS FROM MOROCCO | A look at public transport system in Rabat, Morocco
Public transport is a key sector of Kenya’s economy, it is for this reason that the ministry of transport has been pushing to make the public transport system more efficient, especially for residents of Nairobi and other big cities.
But there is a lot to be done to achieve seamless traffic flow and order away from the rowdy matatu culture that characterizes our public transport system.

WELCOME TO RABAT MOROCCO - TRAVEL VLOG
Rabat is the capital city of Morocco in North Africa and the political and administrative center of the country. In this vlog, we visit the traditional Moroccan guards, walk the Kasbah, and photograph the ruins of Chellah.
While it is less touristy than Marrakesh, it is filled with impressive historic sights. It is one of four Imperial cities of Morocco, and the medina of Rabat is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Chellah - This is an ancient Necropolis with scenic gardens, Roman Ruins, Islamic Architecture and 13th C Mosque. We also listen to the traditional Moroccan music.
Mausoleum of Mohammed V
A richly ornate mausoleum where we photograph the Moroccan Architecture and guards.
Kasbah of the Udayas
Also known as Kasbah les Oudaias, this is the most picturesque part of Rabat. The Kasbah has beautiful alleyways with whitewashed and blue walls. Scenic views of the Bouregreg River and the Andalusian Gardens.

Medina of Rabat Morocco the old Town of Rabat
✅ Penthouse Rental Estepona -
✅
#rabatt #medina
The Medina quarter is the old town of Rabat and has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2012. The quiet atmosphere of the medina contrasts with the lively souks of the tourist towns. Avenue Hassan II divides the New Town from the Medina and serves as a link between two completely opposite worlds. In the medina, there is a distinctly Mediterranean atmosphere with whitewashed walls and blue shutters. It is accessed through the two gates of Bab El Alou and Bab El Had to the east, along the 12th-century Almohad city walls built by Sultan Yacoub el Mansour. The Alhambra city wall is 5,263 meters long and stretches along the west and south coasts of Rabat. The wall and the gates were declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site. In the west, the medina is surrounded by the walls of the Kasbah Oudaias. This medina was created by the Moriscos (Andalusians, who were expelled from Spain in the 18th century by Philip III) and is rarely well preserved due to the countless fortification walls. It has a traditional and authentic atmosphere, and you can visit the traditional souks, the Kasbah of the Oudaias, the former Jewish Mellah district, the Makki Mosque, etc.
The Medina is a center for trade and crafts, it holds many Moroccan craft shops and also serves as a residential area for residents from less prosperous backgrounds. It is a historical landmark of Rabat.
Rabat - Morocco's Capital City
Rabat is the capital city of Morocco and its second largest city with an urban population of approximately 580,000 and a metropolitan population of over 1.2 million. It is also the capital city of the Rabat-Salé-Kénitra administrative region.
The Moroccan capital was ranked at second place by CNN in its Top Travel Destinations of 2013. It is one of four Imperial cities of Morocco, and the medina of Rabat is listed as a World Heritage Site.

One Week in Morocco: Part 2 - Rabat
Part 2 follows our adventures from Fes via train to Rabat and then exploring the capital city. We take in the Rabat Medina, discuss the joys of staying in a Moroccan Riad, soak up the atmosphere in the Kasbah of the Udayas, enjoy the views of the Atlantic Ocean, sample a lot of Moroccan food as well as try our hand at bartering for souvenirs.
This series is a documentary-type look at a one week long journey around Morocco. Evan Brown along with good friend Iain Griffin set out to discover a bit of Maroc for themselves on this adventure. Both first timers to Morocco's charms, it is our goal to try and enjoy a little bit of a taste of local life here. Our journeying was done by train and a lot of walking as well as sweating was involved. We started out in Fes and then on to Rabbat, Cassablanca then Marrakesh to finally take the train back to Fes in time for our flight home 1 week later. These videos are documenting and sharing our genuine experiences and adventures as we attempt to find out for ourselves what Morocco is really like.

Travel Video #2 || Morocco - Rabat
We had the most amazing time travelling round Morocco back in April! We went to Casablanca, Rabat, Fes, The Blue City and Tangier, so we will be uploading a bit of a series for you, with a video for each place we visited ☺
We found watching other people’s YouTube videos about Morocco super helpful when planning our trip, so we hope that ours can inspire you to visit Morocco! We flew into Casablanca and explored the area for just one day, but this was enough to see all the sights. Looking back, we probably wouldn’t have bothered going out of our way to visit Casablanca, but as we flew into the Casablanca airport, we thought we’d take the time to look around anyway and we had a fab time.
Thank you for watching our first ever travel vlog, do keep an eye out for the next ones and let us know what you think in the comments, we’d love to do this more often! If you’d like to get in contact with us, then please follow us and message us through our socials below:

Experience Rabat, Morocco in 4K
Like the Kasbah des Oudaias lying nearly hidden along its natural harbor walls, Rabat is the gem of Morocco. Molded and built on for hundreds of years, this city is a testament to the melting pot that is Moroccan culture. From the Marina to Hasan Tower, from Embassy Row to the narrow passageways of the Medina, Rabat opens itself to the world to share its natural beauty and the vibrant lives of its people. This is the story of Rabat.

Morocco's coastal capital since 1912
Rabat has just over a million people. Modern and even reserved by Moroccan standards, the city also has many fascinating historic sites, including the picturesque Kasbah of the Udayas, built in the mid-12th century.
The unique Hassan Tower, begun at the end of the 12th century, was meant to have the world's largest minaret, but was never completed. Just opposite the tower lies the 20th-century Mausoleum of Mohammed V, another of the city's main attractions.
Rabat Agdal Train Station : Positioned at the intersection of a series of important routes, the new Rabat Agdal train station will become the gateway of Rabat, creating a central icon that symbolizes the dynamic transformation of the city. By creating an elevated passageway that connects multiple access points, the project acts as a hinge, allowing residents and visitors to cross from one part of the city to another.
The structure hangs over the train tracks in a unique network of braided buildings, combining space for transport, recreation, culture and work. The passenger hall is located on the main axis of movement through the station, creating a strategic crossing point and an inviting meeting place.
Morocco’s big bridge for Rabat bypass :Construction work is on track with the new cable-stayed bridge close to Morocco’s coastal city of Rabat. The cable-stayed bridge will form part of Rabat’s new bypass and will be the largest such structure in Africa when it is complete, later this year. The bypass crosses the Bouregreg valley and measures some 41km. The bridge itself will measure 950m and span 376m, with three lanes in each direction. Construction of the bridge has been financed by the World Bank and Autoroutes du Maroc (ADM) and is costing US$69.3 million. ADM is acting as project manager for the work, with Strates having carried out the design portion and construction being carried out by Covec-Mbec. The completion of the Rabat Bypass will help cut congestion in the area around the city, with high traffic volumes and delays to journeys common during peak periods at present.
Hay Riadh : is a big place where people live and now the government and so many company are making this place better and better , by building new places where people can feel better .
Rabat theatre in Morocco: a new landmark is going to appear at the heart of Moroccan capital Rabat, by 2014 . The modern design of this multifunctional project that aligns with the wavy city’s landscape, is designed by Zaha Hadid Architects.
The building will be situated on the 47,000 sq m land area with a gross floor area of 27,000 sq m. It compromises two theaters, 2050 and 520 seat respectively, an outdoor amphitheater with up to 7000 people capacity, in addition to many creative studios. The cost of this futuristic view on classic theater is estimated at 163 million dollars. The lines of the Grand Theater design tend to the sky while melting to the ground on the other edge opening up an inspiring view on the Bouregreg River. The city’s development with the flow of technology and fresh trends will only bring more tourists and recognition to Morocco while modernizing its landscape.

Morocco Road Trip | Essaouira, Casablanca & Rabat
Our road trip through Morocco has begun as we eave Marrakesh and make our way towards some of the coastal towns of this beautiful country.
First up we had a few more spots to see in Marrakesh with our first ever visit in the incredible Bahia Palace - honestly designing our future house after the Moroccan architects.
Our first stop is the coastal town of Essaouira, where we got to see the medina and a quick stop into the blue boat fishing village.
In the morning we made our way to Casablanca to see one of the most jaw dropping Mosques in the world - the Hassan II Mosque.
Final stop is the capital city of Rabat and it's unlike any town we have ever seen in Morocco so far.
Tour we are on in Morocco:
