Diving at beachcomber Park with Bill and Todd. Great wall structure. Lots of Rock fish, Cod, Wolfeel, Nudi's and a couple Sea Lions. Getting down to the beach is no problem but the walk back up.....whew!

Beachcomber Park Nanoose Bay B.C. Is situated at the end of Nanoose's Beachcomber Peninsula and offers spectacular views west across Craig Bay to Parksville and Mount Arrowsmith and north across the Strait of Georgia to the mainland coastal mountains. At low tide, large flat rocks are exposed which makes great territory for exploring and tide pool investigating. Away from the sea, enjoy short walking trails through arbutus, Douglas-fir and Gary Oak woodland.
Otters, Nanoose Bay, Vancouver Island
A bit shaky, I had the lens all the way out. What a fun bunch to watch!!!

Vancouver Island Berry Producers Say Patience Will Be a Virtue
NANOOSE BAY - Juicy , ripe and colourful fruit is a true sign summer has arrived on Vancouver Island, but up and down the Island June provided the wrong climate for strawberries and Raspberries. A wet and cold June made berry production a difficult task on Nanoose Edible Organic farm. Raspberry crops were damaged by heavy rain while strawberries simply never were able to properly seed in June and staff at the farm just outside of Nanaimo say their situation was not isolated. Often there will be patches of the Island that are doing well while others that aren't doing well, said Barbra Ebell. This year it has been pretty much cold and rainy all across the Island.
Many markets and suppliers who stock the delicious bounty Vancouver Island produces each year have been forced to put foreign product in place of the local produce. Even then berries from Mexico and California are sparse and prices are high.
Local producers are getting a second chance as the heat wave cascading over the Island should make for a quick recovery.

I asked for a still shot in the grass, and when they made the formation, they started humming and toning. It was amazing. See parts I, II and III.
