World War I Training Camp in Downtown Houston
During WWI the US Army trained soldiers at Camp Logan, a site now known as Memorial Park. Though little evidence of Camp Logan remains, the park serves as a public memorial and important historic and archeological site.

Tax Day Flood at the Indiangrass Preserve
Katy Prairie Conservancy is reclaiming and transforming land west of Houston into its natural prairie state. Understanding and restoring this landscape is paramount to avoiding or mitigating the damage caused by future floods.
Watch four days pass by in four minutes, starting with the day before the flood of April 18, 2016, and going through April 20. The calm before the storm on the 17th gives way to a nighttime deluge, and 3 days of draining back down to pre-flood water levels.
