After a much needed lunch break, the family stumble across the old Beaulieu manor house and its gardens. they are taken back in time as they see how the residents used to live.

This is Beaulieu House an 800-year-old mansion that is one of the first unfortified houses in Ireland that survives today and a rare survivor of the artisan mannerist style of architecture.

Form an orderly queue and join us on the lawn for Picnic Games including the three legged race, sack race, piggy back race and the egg and spoon race...Across the garden be amazed by the wit and skill of The Journeyman Juggler, and the worlds of Professor Phoncible P.Plunger famour inventor of the automatic cucumber peeler, the fireproof marshmallow and non-stick adhesive.
Scultor Breda Marron's large works will be on view in the garden; children and adults can join her to create a large collective work using willowm rushes and other natural materials. Elsewhere, artist Niall de Búitléar will help children develop and create your own Beaulieu Badge and face painters Hannah and Emily take up residence in the Greenhouse.

Savour the delights of this unique house and garden with special tours by local historian Noel Bailey and garden designer and plan expert Mark McKeever; with lectures in the Ballroom by Tony Conaghy on The Art of Bee Keeping, and Terence Reeves Smith, author of The Garden Lover's Guide to Ireland.
