RNLI Lizard Lifeboat Station
The Lizard Peninsula in Cornwall has one of the most remote and treacherous coastlines in the UK making the Lizard lifeboat station one of the most important lifeboat stations in the country.
The station's design had to safeguard the environment and re-use as much existing structure as possible. Set at the base of a 45m cliff, a twin-engine Tamar class lifeboat sits ready for launch in the boathouse. When called out, it slides down a slipway into deep water.

Beaumaris Xmas Victorian Fair parade 2013
Every year the town of Beaumaris, on the Isle of Anglesey (Wales), holds a parade with a Christmas and Victorian theme, on a Saturday in the lead up to Xmas. The 2013 event, pictured here, was held on 29th November. More than a thousand people gather to watch Santa and the Seindorf Beaumaris Brass Band parade along the main street, led by the Lord Mayor and Lady Mayoress, who then ceremonially switch on the Xmas tree lights by the castle, after which Carols are sung. Shops dress their window displays and there are additional stalls in the street, and this year there was more than one barrel organ too. It cheers up a cold winter's evening, complete with man-made snow being issued from the Town Hall windows above the street. But there is hard commerce unspoken behind all this. Small towns need to fight to get customers nowadays and this is one way to attract people to spend. And from what I see generally, Beaumaris will win this fight, thanks to all the visitors it attracts to the quality of it's small independent specialist shops, and all the hard work put into them.
North and South beaches at Moelfre Inc RNLI Lifeboat Station at Moelfre on Anglesey
Video of the two beaches at Moelfre on the Isle of Anglesey. The Anglesey Coastal Path runs between these two beaches and in the middle you have the Moelfre Lifeboat Station.
After the new Lifeboat station on the way towards the village, you will pass an old small stone building with a slipway in front of it, this is the original lifeboat station.
Moelfre is a beautiful coastal village on Anglesey which is steeped in Maritime history.
A section of the Anglesey Coastal Path travels through Moelfre, the coastal path heading north passes by two famous shipwrecks, the Royal Charter and the HIndlea. The Royal Charter sank in a ferocious storm in 1859, often referred to as the Royal Charter storm.

Moelfre is a village, community and electoral ward on the north east coast of Isle of Anglesey in Wales, and on the Anglesey Coastal Path. It has a population of 1,064 as of the 2011 UK census. The meaning of the Welsh language word Moelfre translated in English is 'bald or barren hill', which describes the land behind the village, as seen from the sea. It is the same name as that of the Malvern Hills in Worcestershire and Herefordshire. The village today has 502 households and 5% unemployment. The Royal Mail postcode begins LL72.
The village of Moelfre is 5 minutes from the A5025. The nearest mainline railway stations are in Bangor and Llanfairpwllgwyngyll. These can be reached in under half an hour on the bus services which run through the village.
It was the site of the wreck in 1859 of the steam clipper The Royal Charter near the end of its voyage from Australia to Liverpool. On July 30th, 1862, the screw sloop Enrica, soon to be commissioned as the Confederate States of America warship CSS Alabama sheltered in Moelfre Bay while evading both British customs authorities and the USS Tuscarora, which had been sent to capture or sink her. There were no street lights in the village until well after the Second World War. Moelfre RNLI Lifeboat Station has a distinguished history, including the Hindlea rescue in 1959, when all the crew were rescued. There has been a lifeboat in Moelfre since 1854.
This area is by the large sandy beach Traeth Lligwy and the ancient stone homestead of Din Lligwy. Nearby Ynys Moelfre is a haven for birds, and seals and porpoises may also be seen. In the village there is a bakery, restaurants and a fish and chip shop, and the RNLI Gwylfan Moelfre Seawatch Centre has a small museum, shop and book store. The RNLI Lifeboat Station is open to the public.
Actress Jennifer Ellison was rescued by the RNLI in August 2013. off Moelfre.

ABERYSTWYTH RNLI LIFEBOAT LAUNCH Wales UK 2018
Whilst chilling on the harbour at Aberystwyth, the lifeboat crew suddenly jumped into action, rude not to film it really :)
St.Davids Lifeboat, South Wales returns and is hauled up the ramp.
I was fortunate to be there with video camera to hand, as the RNLI Lifeboat based at St.Davids in Pembrokeshire, South Wales arrived back to harbour from a training trip out at sea. The boat demonstrates its remarkable manoeuvering ability as it turns right round within its own length at the bottom of the launch ramp. The boat is then hoisted up the ramp, ready for any emergency call out. The radio mast is lowered as the boat ascends the ramp.
The lifeboat station is in the harbour of the tiny settlement of St.Justinian, a short distance from the beautiful, tiny city of St.Davids. The large island to be seen in the background is Ramsey Island, almost entirely a RSPB bird sanctuary. Videoed on 9th May, 2017.
