Beddgelert Walks, Snowdonia Walks In Gwynedd, Wales, UK
This Beddgelert Walks route was about 3 miles, or 4.8 kilometres, in distance. The terrain of the route was a combination of short road sections, surfaced paths, tracks and field paths. The walking was mostly easy on level ground or gentle slopes with the exception of one short sharp incline. Route finding was easy with obvious paths, good waymarking and good landmarks. There were no stiles to negotiate.

The Story of Gelert:
In the 13th century, Llywelyn, Prince of North Wales, had a palace at Beddgelert. one day he went hunting without Gelert The Faithful Hound who was unaccountably absent. On Llywelyn's return, the truant stained and smeared with blood, joyfully sprang to meet his master. The Prince alarmed hastened to find his son, and saw the infant's cot empty, the bedclothes and floor covered with blood. The frantic father plunged the sword into the hound's side thinking it had killed his heir. The dog's dying yell was answered by a child's cry. Llywelyn searched and discovered his boy unharmed but near by lay the body of a mighty wolf which Gelert had slain, the Prince filled with remorse is said never to have smiled again. he buried Gelert here. The spot is called Beddgelert.

Beddgelert Station (Welsh Highland Railway), North Wales, UK
Out in North Wales with my parents, was lucky to arrive at the station just in time to see the train to Porthmadog headed by a Beyer-Peacock steam engine built in 1958. After a few checks the train steams out. Note the beautiful REVO lamp posts on the station platform.
We were only here because our 5pm train on the Snowdon Mountain Railway had been cancelled due to high winds. I hope one day I will get to the top of Snowdon one way or another!

Places to see in ( Llanbedr - UK )
Places to see in ( Llanbedr - UK )
Llanbedr is a village and community in the Ardudwy area, formerly Meirionnydd, of Gwynedd, Wales. The village originally grew around the slate quarrying industry. Attractions in Llanbedr include Neolithic standing stones; the Stones of Llanbedr and Bronze Age hut circles. The Morfa Dyffryn sand dunes and Mochras (Shell Island) lie nearby. It also boasts two public houses; Ty Mawr Hotel and The Victoria Inn.
The church of St Peter, after whom the village is named (Pedr being the Welsh for Peter), is a class II* listed building. A mile from the village is the hamlet of Pentre Gwynfryn whose chapel, Capel Salem, was the subject of a painting by the artist Sydney Curnow Vosper. The painting, entitled Salem, showed a member of the congregation, Siân Owen, in traditional Welsh costume and became famous throughout Britain in the mid 20th century.
Llanbedr has a recently reopened airport which, until 2004, was operated by the Defence Evaluation and Research Agency (DERA) and QinetiQ as a launch site for remotely piloted drone 'aircraft' for use as aerial targets by the RAF and other UK forces. Opposite the airfield is one of two NACATC units (National Air Cadets Adventure Training Centres) in the UK (the other being in the village of Windermere in the English Lake District). The airfield was included in the Snowdonia Enterprise Zone by the Welsh Government in January 2013.
To the north of the village is the smaller village of Pensarn, situated at the estuary of the river Artro. This is the location of Llanbedr & Pensarn Yacht Club and the Christian Mountain Centre, a residential adventure activity centre. Llanbedr railway station, formerly known as Talwrn Bach Halt, is a little out of the village itself and is served by the Cambrian Line.
( Llanbedr - UK ) is well know as a tourist destination because of the variety of places you can enjoy while you are visiting Llanbedr . Through a series of videos we will try to show you recommended places to visit in Llanbedr - UK

Beddgelert
Beddgelert is a village in the Snowdonia National Park. We visited it in August 2014. Great sightseeing for mountains and crystal clear riviers. The grave featured in the video is of a dog from the medieval period which gave its name to the village.
Welsh Highland Railway trip between Beddgelert and Carnarfon on 20 May 2019.
This is a trip I took on the wonderful Welsh Highland Railway- before the monsoons came! At the start at Beddgelert, the first train pauses briefly for the fireman to get out and usher a small flock of trespassing sheep off the line.

Exploring Copper Mines in North Wales U.K.
Copper mining is probably the oldest known mining activity in Wales with documented evidence of Bronze Age mining on the Great Orme near Llandudno and at Copa Hill in the valley of the River Ystwyth in Ceredigion. Further copper discoveries were exploited in Snowdonia just to the east of Beddgelert where the Sygun Copper Mine, within the Snowdonia National Park, gives an idea of the conditions faced by copper miners and is a popular tourist attraction. In the 18th century the massive deposits of copper together with a range of other metals was discovered and exploited at Parys Mountain on Anglesey.
