BRUSSELS, BELGIUM - Travel Vlog Day 1 - Visiting Mont des Arts & Grand Place
For inspiration on things to see do in during a weekend trip to Brussels, Belgium, check out this travel vlog and take note of our tips and tricks for visitors! We traveled to Brussels in February and, temperature aside, got to experience some awesome sunny weather - perfect for walking around Mont des Arts, Grand Place, and Galeries Royales Saint-Hubert (or the Royal Gallery of Saint Hubert). We found some bars and restaurants within a variety of price ranges that we recommend you try on your next trip to Brussels. It's not hard to find Belgian waffles or Belgian beer tasting in Brussels, but to make choosing easier, we highlighted some of our favorite spots. Check out this travel vlog for our guide to exploring Brussels in a couple of days.
24-HOURS IN BRUSSELS VLOG (WAFFLES, BEER, CHOCOLATE, GRAND PLACE!!) | 02-01-2019
On the 2nd of January, Robyn's brother dropped us off at Brussels airport so that Robyn and I could catch a train into Brussels Central Station. This will mark the beginning of our 24-hour adventure in Brussels before we catch the train to Amsterdam (where we will spend 2 nights!)
In this video, you'll join us as we walk from Central station directly into the Godiva chocolate shop! :-) Then you'll join us as we check-in to our room at Bedroom.
Afterwards, we will take you on an adventure where we will take you to experience the following;
- Mulled wine
- show you Winter Wonders
- Grand Place
- Cave Du Roy (and eat snails!)
- a place for beer degustation
- the Grand Place light show
- a waffle place
- a comic museum
- a smurf store
We walked into tons of chocolate shops and walked the small cobblestones streets. We did all of this in exactly 24 hours ;)

We only had a day to really explore Brussels, so teamed up with The Brussels Journey who promised us the best of a weekend in Brussels! The Brussels Journey beer and chocolate tour is a feast for the senses. It's a walking tour of Brussels that tells the story of the city through two of Belgium's biggest industries, chocolate and beer. It's the perfect way to spend your weekend in Brussels, or if you've only got a day to explore Brussels like we did.
Our Brussels Journey beer and chocolate tour guides were hospitable and helpful. They showed our group around the city, pointing out the best places to go, sharing stories and giving tips. The chocolate and beer samples were excellent. We had so much fun. We started the day not knowing anyone in the city, but ended up with new friends by the end of the day. Highly recommended.
