Then on to Pomeroy's pub, which has 22 craft beers on tap, and we talk to some up and coming brewers. QUEENSTOWN NEW ZEALAND WINE TOUR with Altitude Tours ???????????? + Kiwi Craft Beer ????
On this vlog, I joined in Altitude Tours for their amazing New Zealand Wine Tour. Of course, New Zealand wine is famous all around the world, and a Wine Tour in Queenstown (aka New Zealand Wine Country) is one of the must things to do in Queenstown.
I got to Queenstown in the South Island and it was beautiful! And then it started raining, of course!
So what do you do in the rain? An indoor activity! I decided (kinda last minute with the rain and stuff) to do a visit to what I thought were three #QueenstownWineries.
It turned out to be a winery, a place that served everyone else's wine, and a gastropub type of place with good pizza that also served other people's wine and beer.
Now, I've turned into a bit of a lightweight as I get older, so stuff like this sneaks up on me. Fortunately, we were done JUST as I was getting to the point where I needed to stop.
Included in this video, in case you want to give them a try:
#AltitudeTours - They also other types of tours and not just wine. But they're pretty good at these!
Gibbston Tavern: Really enjoyed their pizza. Good beer and wine selection
Waitiri Creek Winery: This is a cute little church. They serve several great New Zealand wine and beer.
Kinross: Kinross is a place that serves other people's wines and they have a great selection. The food also looks very nice (though we honestly only ate a cheese plate). The cool part about this place is that it looks like it would be a great place to stay for wine enthusiasts. They have cottages!
All in all, it was a fun #QueenstownWineTour - and it was over before I had one too many! LOL!
Oh, and you go with a group and the tour is a lot more fun because of it!
FINALLY - I'd like to take this opportunity to tell you all that yes, I actually DO know the difference between QueensTOWN and QueensLAND. ????

New Zealand wine from Jackson Estate

John Stichbury from Jackson Estate, Marlborough, New Zealand, visits the Christopher Piper Wines team and holds a tasting at the Golden Lion, Tipton St John. He discusses his relationship with Chris Piper, going back to 1993 and talks about his estate wines. Two white wines - Green Lip Sauvignon Blanc (100% Sauvignon) and the Shelterbelt Chardonnay (hand harvested and single vineyard wine, fermented in oak) , followed by 2 Pinot Noirs - Vintage Widow and Gum Emperor (named after the moth that lives in the eucalypt trees). It's a great opportunity for John and his wife Jo to be in the UK to discuss the new vintages of these 4 wines. The wines are then tasted inside with food, mussels cooked in white wine followed by cod and pancetta. He finishes on the note let's do what we should always do with wines, enjoy it with food, good friends and good conversation.

New Zealand Trip: Day 7 - Marlborough Wine Tasting
This famous linguist once said that of all the phrases in the English language, of all the endless combinations of words in all of history, that 'cellar door' is the most beautiful.
Today we hired electric bicycles and pedaled through several vineyards and even a brewery! We found our way to Cloudy Bay, Scott, Moa, Hunters, and Rock Ferry. Shout out to the owner of Spy Valley Vineyard who stopped us on the road to give us a bottle of Sauvignon Blanc (very tasty!).

The BEST Central Otago Wineries in New Zealand!!!
The BEST Central Otago Wineries in New Zealand!!!
New Zealand is famous for its wines. In Central Otago, NZ, we checked out five different wineries. It was surprising to see many opened wineries because we went there during the off-season (winter months in the Southern Hemisphere). It was a great opportunity to check out these wineries without the large crowds. We checked out these wineries:
-Akarua Wineries
-The Lazy Dog Wineries
-Mt. Difficult Winerieis
-Wild Earth Winerieis
-Aurum Wineries
All of these places produced some of best wines I have ever tasted. If you've never been to New Zealand, make sure you m ake a visit to the wineries in South Island, New Zealand. I promise you won't regret it. Remember- THE VOYAGE IS CONTAGIOUS!!!!
