The Brewery Everyone Is Talking About In Your State
Sometimes grabbing a cold one at your localsports barjust won't cut it. Instead, go straight to the source and have a drink at one of the best breweries in America to sample endless varieties of beer on tap and peek behind the scenes of the beer-making process on a brewery tour.
Glacier BrewHouse, AnchorageGreat beer, and possibly the best fish I have ever had. Get the sockeye or halibut, both incredible!
Good People Brewing Company, BirminghamSome of the best beers in Birmingham. The newly renovated taproom is amazing, with an outdoor area.
Lost Forty Brewing, Little RockExcellent atmosphere, great food and even better beer. The pimento cheese is a must order.
Mother Road Brewing Company, FlagstaffWhat a great find! Very friendly bartender, nice interior with a hipsterish vibe and, most importantly, great homebrewed beer!
AleSmith Brewing Company, San DiegoGreat place to taste seasonal and special editions. They also offer tours if you are interested.
Odell Brewing Company, Fort CollinsExcellent, excellent brewery! Friendly staff, great beer, and a beautiful outdoor space.
Two Roads Brewing Company, StratfordOne of my new favorite breweries. Delicious beer, food trucks outside, and they'll even send a bus to pick you up from the train station.
DC Brau Brewing Co, Washington D.C.Took a tour and learned a lot about canning beer that I didn't know before. They have a great double IPA.
Dogfish Head Craft Brewery, MiltonThey treat you like kings and queens. Four free beer samples before a free tour, plus if you are lucky enough you'll get to see the owner, Sam Calagione.
Cigar City Brewing, TampaI have yet to try a beer that I don't like ... including IPAs and I'm not normally a huge fan. Good Gourd is fantastic.
Monday Night Brewery, AtlantaOne of my favorite place to have fun with my friends and great outside seating, music and beers. Great atmosphere and friendly staff.
Kona Brewing Co. & Brewpub, KailuaOne of my favorite breweries ... food is good here and they try to use local ingredients, but what is best is they serve many beers that they only make available in Hawaii. Like Lavaman Red Ale.
Confluence Brewing Company, Des MoinesDelicious beer, my favorite local spot, watch for food trucks in front, and accessible from the bike path. - Foursquare userRobbie Helzer
10 Barrel Brewing, BoiseCasual, great for warmer weather with the semi-outdoor seating. Delicious food and phenomenal beer!
Revolution Brewing, ChicagoRevolution is a premier microbrewery in Chicago, and the tap house is the perfect place to shake a fist at conventional beer. With tons of beers on tap I recommend starting with their Anti-Hero!

Fans now have a new way to get beer at Target Field in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
The Minnesota Twins has debuted a self-serve beer vending machine.
We're happy to be the first team to do this, said Chris Iles, spokesman for the Minnesota Twins. Really we did this so fans can customize their own experience. You can get anywhere from one ounce of beer to 24 ounces of beer in a serving.
Buyers must prove their age at a concession stand and buy a vending card.
The card can be used at the machine to tap up to 48 ounces every 15 minutes.
Another worker checks identification at the vending machine and makes sure fans aren't over-imbibing.

Brooklyn Park business finds success in spirits
Nearly two years after releasing its first batch of craft spirits, a Brooklyn Park distillery is on its way to becoming a staple among Minnesota-made spirits.
In February 2015, CCX News first introduced our viewers to Skaalvenn Distillery, and its owners Tyson and Mary Schnitker who were just a few months away from releasing the first batch of Skaalvenn rum and vodka.
We want to create a good product, we want to have a good following, we want people to have fun when they're drinking our products, said Tyson Schnitker in the 2015 interview.
Fast forward to today, and the latest batch of Skaalvenn vodka is on its way.
Owned and operated by Tyson Schnitker, Skaalvenn is still a one man business, but now there's four different products: vodka, rum, aquavit and a newly released habenero rum. There's also the possibility of a fifth product coming soon.
I've got another new product that I'm hoping will be out before summertime, but I'm keeping a secret on that one, said Schnitker.
The brand name, a loose translation of Norwegian meaning, cheers, friends is gaining momentum in the state.
Skaalvenn is now available in more than 300 locations in Minnesota, including on select Target store shelves and at area liquor stores and restaurants.
It's a good product, it's a fun brand, and people want that, said Schnitker.
With about a thousand bottles sold a month, Skaalvenn is looking ahead to the next step: the Brooklyn Park distillery is ready to expand to a new location, and Tyson Schnitker has his eye on hiring his first few employees when the time comes.
Short term, we want to get a cocktail room going soon. Our lease is done here in under a year, and so we really want to find a new space, find a city that wants to have that going, said Schnitker.
There's growing competition in Minnesota among local craft distilleries. When Skaalvenn got its state license, it was the 16th distillery in Minnesota. Now there are around 30 distilleries licensed in the state.
