Hello Friend this is Rahul and you are watching your favourite youtube channel Endless Journey. In this video i am going to explore Begnas Lake (Taal) Pokhara, which is situated in Kaski district Pokhara city Nepal.
Begnas Lake is a freshwater lake in Pokhara Lekhnath Metropolis of Kaski district of Nepal located in the south-east of the Pokhara Valley. The lake is the third largest lake of Nepal and second largest, after Phewa Lake, among the eight lakes in Pokhara Valley.Water level in the lake fluctuates seasonally due to rain, and utilization for irrigation. The water level is regulated through a dam constructed in 1988 on the western outlet stream, Khudi Khola.
Begnas Lake area with a number of resorts is a popular destination for tourists visiting Pokhara. The water from the lake is used for irrigation and some parts of the lake are used as caged fisheries. The Begnas lake area has a number of swampy areas around it, many of which have been converted to paddy fields.

Begnas Lake, Pokhara.
Begnas lake is the third largest lake of Nepal and second largest, after Phewa lake, among the eight lakes in Pokhara Valley. It is located in the south-east of the Pokhara Valley.
This lake however is much different from Fewa. There are lots of people in Fewa area but hardly people go in Begnas. I loved this lake because for me it looked more natural and subtle. You could see lot of birds around. This place is a must visit if you are in Pokhara. Don’t skip this beautiful lake. Make your Pokhara trip complete by visiting this place.
I enjoyed bike ride from lakeside Pokhara road to this lake. It took me around 45 minutes. The ride was good but gets better as soon as you leave the Prithivi Highway and enter the Begnas Lake Road.
