Part 2 of my Wayanad Trip was much more interesting as I always love a touch of history in my trips. This VLOG contains a nature trail into the Kuruva islands and also a beautiful rock climbing experience up to the Edakkal Caves which houses the neolithic man once upon a time. This is a very short VLOG compared to what I usually upload and so this is quite interesting and quick to watch. Hope you enjoy this VLOG. Thank you for supporting my channel.

Road Trip to Himavad Gopalaswamy Betta
Himavad Gopalaswamy Betta, is a hill (betta in Kannada) located in the Chamarajanagar district of the state of Karnataka,at a height of 1450m India and is extensively wooded. It is also the highest peak in the Bandipur National Park. It is approximately 220 km from Bangalore and 75 km from Mysore on the Mysore Ooty road -10 km away from Gundlupet, which is 60 km away from Mysore. There is a motorable road all the way to the top of the hill. Entry fee is collected at the forest department check post at foot of the hill. Materials used for pooja (prayers) alone such as flowers, fruits, Incense sticks etc. are permitted. Other food items are not permitted to be carried in. All these materials should be carried in non-plastic bags. Entry fee has been revised w.e.f. February 1, 2011. Entry fee is flat Rs 25,50 for two- and four-wheelers. You have to report back at the entrance after 1 hour 30 minutes. Visitors are allowed from around 8:30am till 4pm. Overnight stay on top is not allowed. The only problem when you reach there is the unavailability of comfort station. You have to do your thing in the bush lol. Being a cold place, it is guaranteed that you'll have to pee somewhere, especially if you have been driving long. And don't add this as a primary destination, you should visit this place if you are going to places nearby. Come here in the winter don't visit this place in the summer, i made that mistake and the whole place was dry. If you want to see the greenery, come in November-February.

SUMMARY
=======
National Highway 766 (NH 766) ( previously NH-212 )is a National Highway in Southern India. NH 766 connects Kozhikode in Kerala with Kollegal in Karnataka via Mysore. Of the total distance of 272 km, 117 km is in Kerala and 155 is in Karnataka. At Kollegal, it joins National Highway 948, which connects Bengaluru and Coimbatore. The highway passes through dense forests of Western ghats of India. The NH-766 passes through Bandipur National Park and other reserve forests. The rapid rise in traffic of vehicles (Automobiles) in this highway has led to deaths of wild animals due to the speeding traffic, even though vehicles are not allowed from 9 P.M to 6 A.M in some stretches.The section of the road from Lakkidi in Wayanad to Adivaram (Thamarassery) called as Wayanad Churam (A hill highway with nine hairpin bends) offers a scenic drive.
