Beigang Xiangji Peanut Crisp has a history of 100 years. This is a good taste that can only be eaten in Beigang. For the currently prepared peanut crisp, a large amount of peanut flour is sprinkled on the stage to pile the peanut flour into a concave shape. Pour the hot maltose into it, then cover it with peanut powder, and then use the power to roll the peanut powder and maltose evenly. Spread the peanut powder in the process, and keep pushing the stack until the maltose can evenly cover the peanuts Powder, pull into long strips and cut to complete the handmade peanut candy.

Taiwanese rice crispy is a traditional rice product in Taiwan. It is a kind of dim sum. The method is to steam taro and glutinous rice to make cake, then cut into strips and air-dried. After frying, it becomes rice crackers. , And finally wrapped with sesame, peanut flour or crispy rice in the outer layer, generally made into long strips. A bite under the mouth is crispy rice or sesame, the middle is a sweet and chewy malt, and the inner is a fluffy and crispy rice ball. Three completely different flavors are imported at the same time, and the mouthfeel is soft, dense, and crispy.

Taiwan Train Journeys Ep1 Part 2 - Douliu City, Yunlin County
On the 3rd December 2017 I decide to jump on to the train to head south, my goal was to visit three cities in three different counties, so my second city was Douliu which is a small city not known for a large tourism industry, so I thought why not accept the challenge of finding out what is interesting about this city. I went to see Taiping Street which has Japanese architecture from the Japanese era, the old records house and got lost in the Douliu market as well as trying some Taiwanese street food.

Walking with Fanny Rosie - Taiwan, part 1/3: Yunlin 雲林縣 (2 outfits)
I spent one week in Taiwan, so this is the first of a three short videos series. Visit Yunlin with me: its towns (and puppies), Douliu Night Market, Yunlin Hand Puppet Museum and Huwei SL Towel Factory (that makes towels in shape of cakes). Oh, and lots of Bubble Tea.
And Taiwan in August is pretty hot! It is really similar to Okinawa, but since we spent most of the day outside, we felt it more.

On the 3rd December 2017 I decide to jump on to the train to head south, my goal was to visit three cities in three different counties, so my first city was Yuanlin City in Changhua county where I visited a taouism temple, as well as followed an old sugar rail line track where I got to see the old South Yuanlin station, which is slowly rotting away over time.

I've been thinking about where to take yuh since it seems I've been all over as far as and as much as the MRT (Subway/Metro in Taiwan) can take me. Then I thought, HEYYYY WHY HAVE I NOT VISITED THE TEMPLE?!!! Well I haven't because I'm Christian but visiting and praying at the temple is indeed part of the Taiwanese people's lives. Most of the Taiwanese people believe in Taoism/Daoism which people tend to confuse with Buddhism. Taoism, however; is very different from Buddhism because the Taoist don't worship the buddhas but multiple different Gods that are based on the Chinese teachings and philosophies. The Taoists operate on the three virtues of compassion, moderation, and humility.
Too much religions for you? Well how about just simply visiting for the pleasure of being a tourist and seeing places you would probably not find in your own country?
Thanks for watching! xx

Taiwan's Old Mountain Line - Miaoli County
I'm guiding a series of small group narrow gauge railway tours to Taiwan and Japan and Miaoli County on the West Coast is where we find the old Mountain Line and the spectacular Japanese built brick viaduct approach to Longtong Bridge which was destroyed in the 1935 earthquake.
Highlights of my Taiwan tour is a visit to the spectacular Alishan Forest Railway which climbs from sea level to 2.200m in just 75 kilometers and on special occasions, still operates a Shay geared locomotive! Check out OzSteam.com for more information as well as tour departure dates.
