Życie zastygło w końcówce lat 90-tych ubiegłego wieku. W kraju panuje oficjalny postsowiecki zastój. Stan śpiączki i sakralny stosunek do niezmiennej władzy przeciąga się na długie dziesięciolecia. Chronotop to poznawanie i utrwalanie oznak migoczącego „świata białoruskiej duszy”. Jej kolektywnej, nieuświadomionej frustracji i serwilizmu. Małe formy mitologicznych etiud, wizualnych „twisterów” zrealizowanych przez różnych reżyserów, tworzą pojemny obraz „ukrytego” dotąd nieupublicznionego świata—mitu.

Minsk Belarus HD 720
Minsk is the capital of the Republic of Belarus, its largest political, economic, cultural and scientific center. Minsk is located in the middle of Belarus, it is the centre of the region and district bearing the same name. The city lies along the Svisloch River. Minsk covers an area of 307, 9 square kilometers. The population of Minsk is 1829,1 thousand people. Minsk is divided into 9 city districts. The city is granted a special status of the capital, its charter, coat of arms and hymn.
Minsk is a city of quite an ancient history. It was first mentioned in chronicles in 1067. In 1974 Minsk was awarded the title of City-Hero in the commemoration of its citizens` services in their struggle against Nazism during World War II. Minsk is a headquarter of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS), the place where the Parliament and the Government of the Republic of Belarus are located.
Situated on the crossing of the strategic routes from West to East and from North to South, from Moscow to Warsaw and from Kiev to Vilnius, Minsk is a large transport hub with several bus terminals, a railway station, two airports (1 international) and a metro network.
Minsk has a highly-developed industrial, scientific, transport, management and finance infrastructure. The industry is represented by machine-building, electronics, textile, construction, food industries, etc. More than 300 enterprises operate in the capital. Minsk's share in the country's total industrial output exceeds 22%.
There are 30 higher educational establishments in Minsk, including Belarusian State University, Belarusian National Technical University and Minsk State Linguistic University. Besides, there are 43 secondary specialized educational establishments, 259 general education schools, more than 420 preschool institutions.
Minsk is the most important centre of science and technology. 202 scientific research centres and institutions are concentrated in Minsk including the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus.
Minsk is also the largest cultural centre of The Republic of Belarus. 17 museums, including the National Arts Museum of the Republic of Belarus, the Museum of History and Culture of Belarus, The Museum of History of Great Patriotic War are located in Minsk. There are also 11 theatres in the city, among the most popular are The National Academic Drama Theatre named after Gorky, Republican Theatre of Belarusian Drama, Belarusian State Music Theatre, The National Academic Opera and Ballet Theatre of the Republic of Belarus, etc. Besides that there are 20 cinemas, 110 libraries in Minsk. About 300 magazines and more than 700 newspapers are edited there.

Bolshoi Opera and Ballet Theater of Belarus
The National Academic Bolshoi Opera and Ballet Theater of the Republic of Belarus is one of biggest theaters in Europe and the architectural landmark of Minsk.
In 2018 the Bolshoi Theater of Belarus marked 85 years since its founding. The theater has some 20,000 performances and over 200 premieres under its belt.
History of the Bolshoi Opera and Ballet Theater of Belarus
In the 1920s, Minsk’s first State Drama Theater had several opera soloists, a group of choir singers and ballet dancers and a symphony orchestra. The theater staged music and drama performances, opera and ballet pieces.
In 1930 Anton Bonachich, an outstanding soloist of the Mariinsky Theater, set up the first State Opera and Ballet Studio in Minsk that would turn into the State Opera and Ballet Theater in 1933.
The opera Carmen starring outstanding Belarusian singer Larisa Aleksandrovskaya was the theater’s first production.
The theater was granted the title “Bolshoi” in 1940 and the title “Academic” in 1964.
From the very first days, the Bolshoi Theater of Belarus has produced the world masterpieces and created the national repertoire.

Столичный программист проанализировал английские субтитры к 11 тысячам фильмов, которые были сняты после 1991 года.
Подборка составила 21 картину.
Собраны все или почти все упоминания Беларуси в полнометражных голливудских и других иностранных фильмах с 1991 года. Видео даёт представление об имидже нашей страны за рубежом.
Сериалы не рассматривались, хотя в них тоже можно найти упоминания (Друзья, Шерлок, Южный Парк и др.).
В подборку также не включены упоминания в надписях (например, на борту самолёта в Войне миров Z), т.к. для поиска производился анализ англоязычных субтитров.
Другие областные города Беларуси в кино не обнаружены.

How Russian actor found way into Belarus cinema / ENG subs
Egor Rybakov, a film and theatre actor from Moscow, appears in another episode of Welcome To Belarus show. The man, who has come to our country for the first time, is desperate to make it to Belarusian cinema.
His first destination the Museum of the History of Belarusian cinema in Minsk; Egor is so inspired by the films local guide Volha Tarasevich tells him about that he promises to view them one more time when he returns to Moscow.
Then Egor and his friend, director Ivan Plechev, give a master class for students of the film school in the Belarusian capital. The young filmmakers say they would be happy if Egor starred in their would-be movie.

However, in the outskirts of Minsk, near forgotten villages, in abandoned derelict houses, that's exactly what is happening. Going deep into the controversial and dangerous world of the Belarus Free Theatre company, we follow stories of passion, expression, risk and reward and discover how this organisation has become one of the most powerful underground movements on the planet today.

All male Belarusian citizens between the ages of 18 and 27 are subject to compulsory free military service. Nevertheless, not every young man is ready to learn shooting, fighting and killing. While escaping from the army, Belarusian Egor accidentally meets a Syrian refugee on a train to Warsaw. The circumstances make both guys escape from the hostile reality together while scorning the arms and singing of peace.
