Kolesino Falls in Macedonia

Koleshino waterfall is located in the southeastern part of the Republic of Macedonia, on the northern slopes of the mountain Belasica, in the lower course of the Baba River, at an altitude of 600 m. It is one of the highest waterfalls in Macedonia, with a height of 15 m, with a width of about 6 m. According to the outset, it is a tectonic waterfall, created in granite stones. Contrary to the Koleshino Waterfall, some few smaller waterfalls are located at a distance of about 100 meters, scattered in a row, 2 to 4 meters high, belonging to its central basin

Macedonian Adventures: 'Shining mountain' offers dazzling views

In this episode of Macedonian Adventures, we are taking a hiking trip in the Belasica mountain range, in the country’s south east.
“The name Belasica is often translated as a ‘shining mountain’ – it’s a picturesque range with diverse hiking trails,” reported euronews’ Denis Loctier.
From the Tumba Peak, that opens breathtaking views over three neighbouring countries, down to the dazzling waterfalls at Belasica’s foothills, it’s a soothing trip that attracts mountain lovers throughout the year.
Mountain climber Biljana Serafimovska commented: “Belasica is one of the most beautiful mountains, and one of the steepest. Many water springs are coming out here as natural thermal, mineral, healing sources.
“This waterfall here is one of the most beautiful – it’s a synergy of many such springs.”

Иако утрото ветуваше не знаевме што да очекуваме горе, сликата не беше баш убава за да ти развие некоја слика за прекрасно хедонистичко попладне. Каде и да се свртиш секаде исто, темно а бело, замаглено и студено... Се чекаше стартот, сите знаеjа кој до каде може. И, знаеjа дека ги чека топол ручек на краjoт од акциjата. Тоа можеби и беше единствената топлина во сликата која требаше да се замисли.
Есен а личи на зима. Ветерот е тој што ја прави целата таа ситуација на борење против големината на природата и неjзината суровост невозможна. Без него се ќе беше полесно, вака ние губевме.
Но човечки е да се обидеме, и затоа се обидовме, кој до каде му држеше психата. Некои се качија некои не, но со тоа не изгубија. Со тоа добија само едно чудно чувство на пораз, и тоа пораз од природата која всушност е победник уште пред да започне битката.
Фала за убавите насмевки на сите кои беа таму, благодариме за еколошката акција која се спроведе достојно меѓу доста од присутните ( си ставија на карма +2 ), за испратените фотографии за наградната игра, и за планинарската култура која сите ја прикажаа....

The Kolesino Waterfall Macedonia - Колешински Водопади

Located near the city of Strumica, in south-eastern Macedonia.

The waterfall gently falls over the stone cliffs nestled in the forest of the Belasica Mountain at a height of 19 metres (62 ft.) in multiple watery streams only to reform into the river below.
The waterfall is beautiful in every season and continually changes to reflect the nature which surrounds it. In the winter, these fragile streams can become frozen and in the spring, strengthened by the recent rainfalls, the gentle streams rush more powerfully over the cliff sides.

Koleshino Falls is located above the village of Kolešino in the Municipality of Novo Selo in the southeastern region of the Republic of Macedonia.
Flowing from the Baba River, the waterfall is found at an elevation of 500 metres on the Mount Belasica. The waterfall gently falls over the stone cliffs nestled in the forest of Mount Belasica at a height of 15 metres (62 ft.) in multiple watery streams only to reform into the river below.
The waterfall is beautiful in ever season and continually changes to reflect nature which surrounds it. In the winter, these fragile streams can become frozen and in the spring, strengthened by the recent rainfalls, the gentle streams rush more powerfully over the cliff sides.
Kolešino Falls is a major tourist attraction for the Municipality of Novo Selo. It is open year round, and the site is continuing being developed to meet the needs of visitors. Currently, the site has a wooden bridge to view the waterfall, benches to take a brief rest and even a picnic area with a covered gazebo and grilling area. The municipality has long term plans to build a restaurant and hotel near the site, as well as additional walking paths and improvements to the access road.
Колешинскиот водопад е лоциран во југоисточниот дел на Република Македонија, на северните падини на планината Беласица, во долниот тек на реката Баба, на надморска височина од 500 м.
Се вбројува меѓу највисоките водопади во Македонија со височина од 15 м, со широчина на падот од околу 6 м. Според постанокот тој е тектонски водопад, создаден во гранитни камења. Спротиводно од Колешинскиот водопад, на оддалеченост од околу 100 метри се наоѓаат уште неколку помали водопади распоредени во низа, високи од 2 до 4 метри, кои припаѓаат на неговиот централен слив.
Со покачувањето на температурите расте и бројот на гостите кои секојдневно доаѓаат овде. Во просек колешинските водопади дневно ги посетуваат помеѓу 400 и 500 туристи, а за време на викендите ова бројка е двојно поголема.

Смоларски водопад

Смоларскиот водопад се наоѓа на северните падини на планината Беласица, по текот на реката Ломница, на надморска висина од 600 м во регионот на селото Смолари.
Вкупната височина на вертикалниот отсек на Смоларскиот водопад изнесува 39,5 метри. Водопадот е тектонски предиспониран со раседна структура која лежи попречно на правецот на течењето на водата на Смоларска река. На дното од водопадот формиран е џиновски лонец, чија должина во правец на течењето на речната вода изнесува 5 метри, широчината е 11 метри, а длабочината се движи од 0,5 до 0,7 метри.
