SCUBA DIVING BELIZE | Ambergris Caye and Placencia | travel vlog 2019
SCUBA diving in Belize in a highlight of both the Caribbean and tourism in Central America. While the jungles attract a lot of tourists, Belize is also home to the second largest barrier reef in the world. It has so many incredible experiences for those who love to dive or snorkel. For this SCUBA diving adventure travel vlog I teamed up with PADI, a world famous diver training organization, and William Drumm, a talented underwater photographer.
We started the trip by taking a small plane from Belize City to San Pedro in Ambergris Caye. Here, we met up with Ramon's Village Resort and dove Hol Chan Marine Park, as well as many of the beautiful coral channels that snake through the reef. Highlights here for us were Nurse Sharks, Loggerhead Sea Turtles, and even an Octopus
Unfortunately our dive to The Great Blue Hole was cancelled due to weather, but ended up seeing a Bottlenose dolphin underwater close to the reef. Not a bad replacement.
Next was taking another plane from San Pedro to Placencia to meet Patricia at SPLASH dive centre to dive at Silk Caye. We island hopped, saw the underwater goddess statue, and trekked through Cockscomb Basin.

[Part 2] of our travel's through Belize with my DJI Phantom 3 Pro and GoPro Hero 4. We made it to San Pedro, Ambergris Caye. It was an amazing pay off to save the beautiful beaches, shark diving, golf cart riding and fresh seafood till the end of our Belize adventure.

In this episode, we explore Secret Beach in Ambergris Caye - Belize.
Fist time by bicycle, and the second time by golf cart with Luz, Dale, and Ashley (our Airbnb hosts).
We decided to fly to Belize since our US visa was expiring and we had to get out of the country. Belize is one of the cheapest and nearest countries to fly for this purpose.
We booked an Airbnb really close to downtown San Pedro.
The island is absolutely amazing and the people are lovely.

Secret Beach is a secluded piece of paradise with its pristine water and white sand beaches. Nowadays Secret Beach is Ambergris Caye's worst kept secret, but it remains absolutely beautiful.

A Day In San Pedro Belize Ambergris Caye [Diving with sharks and biking to Secret Beach]

We spent 10 days traveling through Ambergris Caye, Caye Caulker, Placencia, and San Ignacio for Spring Break 2015. The first three days we sailed from Caye Caulker to Placencia with Raggamuffin Tours, in Placencia we dove with Seahorse and then traveled inland to San Ignacio. On the way we went Cave Tubing and visited Xunantunich. Finally went to Ambergris Caye and dove the Blue Hole.

Belize Favorite Diving Sites
In this video, I scuba dived 3 sites Coco Beach House Reef, Love Tunnel and Tackle Box. Out of the 3, Tackle Box and Love Tunnels are my favorite dives. I loved the swim thru’s. Coco Beach House Reef was cool. It had a lot shark interaction there, which was a lot of fun. During the week, the surge was abnormal and it was difficult to shoot steady footage. I did the best I could under the conditions.

Snorkeling/ Freediving San Pedro, Belize June 2015 Manatees, Turtles, and Nurse Sharks!!
San Pedro was amazing. This was one of the best water experiences of my life! Manatees, turtles, nurse sharks (nurse shark alley), schooled fish, rays, conch, we saw a little bit of everything on this one day outing with Caribbean Adventures on their sailboat snorkel tour.

We took the most amazing trip to Ambergris Caye, Belize!!! And we went swimming with sharks!!! We, sadly, left our kids behind for this trip. It was a trip for us to reconnect and just HAVE FUN together.
Let me start by saying that Belize is full of the most incredible people I have ever met. They are so friendly and genuine in every way. We stayed at the most amazing resort, Portofino Beach Resort. It is located 6 miles north of the town of San Pedro. It is so quiet, the staff are incredibly friendly, and the accommodations and amenities are top-notch. We spent days on the water with some awesome people as well. If you love to fish or snorkel, then Captain Chito is your man. He took us out a few days on some incredible excursions. We fished for hours each day and caught so many fish; nurse shark, barracuda, wahoo, trigger, grouper, snapper, etc. We snorkeled with some amazing sea creatures and saw the beautiful life under the sea at How Chan and Shark Ray Alley. We ate the most delicious food. Basically, we experienced it all and we are IN LOVE with Ambergris Caye and all that it has to offer.
If you want to go, there are a few major airlines that will get you to Belize City. From there you can take a short plane ride (recommended) or a ferry boat to San Pedro in Ambergris Caye. Once on the island, most transportation is done by boat or golf cart. It's just so incredible that you have to see it for yourself.
