Bell church in Baguio is one of the popular tourist attractions. It’s a Chinese temple located in La Trinidad. This church spread over 10,000 square meters .In entrance of the Church you will see two big structure of Dragon facing each other’s. You will see here tradition and culture of Chinese community.
There is a beautiful garden in Bell church with lots of colorful flowers. Outside of Bell church many good places to have Pilipino street food. When we go there, not many people were there. So it’s good for enjoy silence here. I loved The way how they wrote Bell church Baguio beautifully on green grass.
ENTRANCE FEES –
There is no entrance fee in Bell church in Baguio.
HISTORY –
Bell church in Baguio was founded in 4th August 1960 by a Chinese from Guangzhou named as “Ng Pee”. This church was known as Chinese Buddhist Temple before. The church was recognizing as popular tourist attraction of Baguio by Philippines tourism Minister “Jose Aspiras” in 1970.
ARCHITECTURE –
Bell church in Baguio was made as “Feng Shui”. Many colorful images of dragon and Chinese impression are located on walls of church. There are two octagon shaped pounds here with lotuses and small fishes. This church is good for doing meditation and relaxation. This bell church painted with mainly three colors Red, Green and Yellow.

Picture and photography is allowed only outer part of the Bell church. And it’s prohibited to take picture and video inside the Bell church.

Yes Bell church in Baguio has a parking area.

7:00AM to 12:00PM | 1:30PM to 4:00PM

BAGUIO | Bell Church
Not very popular among tourists in Baguio but this place is worth a visit, I'd say better than the other more popular tourist spots, and worth a selfie or two. Very colorful temple and pagodas, well-manicured garden, and entry free!
The Bell Church is a Taoist Temple located north of Baguio City about 20 minutes drive from city center, exactly right before the La Trinidad welcome arc, just before the Valley of Colors and along the way to Strawberry Farm.
You can combine these itinerary going along the same route :
- Bell Church
- Valley Colors
- Strawberry Farm
- and perhaps include the La Trinidad Vegetable Trading Post (La Trinidad Market) to buy really fresh and cheap vegetables to take home.
Baguio City is one of the few places in the Philippines blessed with a cool climate. Any time of the year is a good time to visit Baguio City.

We had fun for a day shooting. We didn't have any script but she just planed to show me.

Bell Church - Baguio City
The Bell Church is located north of the downtown area of Baguio along the road leading to the town of La Trinidad, Benguet. Within its compound are intricately designed arches and buildings adorned with flags, bells and dragons.
It has a pagoda, and beautifully landscapped gardens. There are some artifacts about Buddhism that you will find at the Bell Church as well as some literature about the history of China.
It is during the Spring Festival or what is more commonly known in the West as the Chinese New Year that local and foreign Chinese tourists flock to the Bell Church. Like all Chinese festivals, the date of the new year is determined by the lunar/solar calendar rather than the Gregorian calendar. The observance of the holiday falls on a different date each year and it usually varies from late January to the middle of February. This Chinese public holiday is usually observed for 3 days although the festival traditionally starts with the new moon on the first day of the new year and ends on the full moon 15 days later. The 15th day of the new year is called the Lantern Festival which is celebrated at night with lantern displays and children carrying lanterns in a parade.

I always pass by to this church every time I travel to Baguio but never visited it before. I took the opportunity while my sister and my cousin are free, so here we are despite of the gloomy weather. On the entrance of this temple, we saw a wall with these Chinese characters and we have no idea what it means; we saw a pond, statues of dragons and pagodas too. There was no entrance fee or anything but they accept donations. (The Bell Church is a Chinese temple of the Chinese Filipino indigenous religious organization of the same name in La Trinidad, Benguet, Philippines. The Bell Church was founded on August 4, 1960 in Benguet by a Chinese immigrants from Canton, China (now Guangzhou) led by Ng Pee. They were devotees of the Buddhist monk Ji Gong.) -Wikipedia

♡ Back again in Baguio last October 11-14, 2018 (4d3n) and glad to experience a sunny day in here! Since 2015, I've been going back to Baguio yearly and this time medyo naubusan na ako ng places na pupuntahan. What I like about this trip is di kami masyado naghahabol ng oras kaya sobrang chill and relaxed lang ung trip. Plus we have 4 days to roam around the city.
