Bellagio Conservatory & Botanical Gardens Las Vegas
Botanical Gardens, Bellagio Resort and Casino, Las Vegas, Nevada, United States, North America
The hotel also contains a Conservatory and Botanical Gardens. In total, there are five seasonal themes that the Conservatory undergoes: Chinese New Year, Spring, Summer, Fall, and Winter. From January to mid-March, the Conservatory celebrates the Chinese New Year with a display dominated by flowers bromeliads and Orchids, as well as the animal of that particular year that the Chinese zodiac celebrates. The theme then changes over to the Spring display, which lasts until May, and usually features a butterfly house as well as many varieties of tropical flowers. During Memorial Day weekend, Bellagio then switches over to its All-American Summer display, featuring a large recreation of the Liberty Bell, as well as several American flags throughout the Conservatory. The Summer display is usually very patriotic featuring a lot of red, white, and blue, and is dominated by hydrangeas. From late September until Thanksgiving weekend, the Conservatory then puts on it Fall display featuring several varieties of chrysanthemum and several large pumpkins throughout the display. Finally, the Conservatory then switches over to its winter holiday display after Thanksgiving, which is dominated by its large centerpiece Christmas Tree and several varieties of poinsettia. Whatever the season, colorful displays are decorated with many real fragrant flowers, and fountains may also be present. The Conservatory is located next to the lobby of the hotel and is open to the public. The Wet 'n Wild water park opened in 1985 and was located on the south side of the Sahara hotel. The park closed at the end of the 2004 season and was later demolished. The opening of The Mirage in 1989 set a new level to the Las Vegas experience, as smaller hotels and casinos made way for the larger mega-resorts. These huge facilities offer entertainment and dining options, as well as gambling and lodging. This change affected the smaller, well-known and now historic hotels and casinos, like The Dunes, The Sands, the Stardust, and the Sahara. In 1995, following the death of Dean Martin, the lights along the Strip were dimmed in a sign of respect to him. This was repeated in 1998 in honor of the recently deceased Frank Sinatra. In 2005, Clark County renamed a section of Industrial Road (south of Twain Avenue) as Dean Martin Drive, also as a tribute to the famous Rat Pack singer, actor, and frequent Las Vegas entertainer.

Places to see in ( Las Vegas - USA ) Bellagio Conservatory & Botanical Garden
Places to see in ( Las Vegas - USA ) Bellagio Conservatory & Botanical Garden
The Conservatory & Botanical Gardens at the Bellagio Las Vegas is a place where guests and visitors can be treated to the soothing and exciting dance of color only nature can offer. Located just steps away from the spa and hotel lobby, the 13,573-square-foot, Bellagio’s Conservatory & Botanical Gardens is always in full bloom with it's ever-changing natural display of flora arranged in a theatrical presentation that changes five times a year and celebrates each of the four seasons and Chinese New Year.
The exhibit, filled with lush plants, vibrant flowers and towering trees is planned a year in advance to ensure that the necessary flowers, plants and trees are available for the presentation. Specialized light fixtures make it possible to light every flower and a staff of 140 expert horticulturists prepare and maintain the Botanical Garden.
The Conservatory & Botanical Gardens at the Bellagio is FREE to the public and is open 24 hours a day and 365 days a year. Winding pathways invite guests to experience this visually stunning display at their leisure. In addition to the Fountains at the front of the resort, the Bellagio Conservatory & Botanical Garden is one of the best free attractions in Las Vegas. Even those who are not horticulturally inclined will love wandering through the conservatory, which features hundreds of natural trees, shrubs, and flowers along with architectural elements in a creative and unique layout that is visually stunning.
The three-story glass-domed conservatory features beautiful arrangements according to a theme that changes periodically throughout the year. The seasonal themes include Holiday, Chinese New Year, Spring Celebration, Summer Garden Party, and Harvest. A great amount of planning, time, detail, and effort is put into the designs, which requires a team of 140 people from the resort’s engineering and horticulture departments to assemble using cranes and underground tunnels. Approximately 40 trees, 1,500 shrubs, and 10,000 blooming plants are featured in each exhibit. They are often exported from distant countries or states to their new home at the conservatory, where they are set among specially designed spotlights, gazebos, bridges, ponds, sculptures, and fountains. Only three of the trees in the conservatory are permanent fixtures, including a 110-foot-tall Banyan tree from Palm Beach, Florida, that is over a hundred years old.
Some of the past exhibits have featured large snails with flower-covered shells, swans made out of green shrubbery, Asian-style pagodas with Chinese lanterns, and a large Christmas three decked in brilliant lights. In addition to the changing design every season, the Bellagio’s horticulturists change the plants every two weeks to ensure that visitors never see a wilted petal or leaf. Also, the designs change every year; the Christmas exhibit that you may have seen a year ago will not be the same exhibit that you see the next, making the Conservatory a beloved stop for visitors and residents alike.

【Bellagio】
Bellagio is a resort, luxury hotel and casino on the Las Vegas Strip in Paradise, Nevada. It is owned by The Blackstone Group and operated by MGM Resorts International and was built on the site of the demolished Dunes hotel and casino. Inspired by the Lake Como town of Bellagio in Italy, Bellagio is famed for its elegance. One of its most notable features is an 8-acre (3.2 ha) lake between the building and the Strip, which houses the Fountains of Bellagio, a large dancing water fountain synchronized to music.
Inside Bellagio, Dale Chihuly's Fiori di Como, composed of over 2,000 hand-blown glass flowers, covers 2,000 sq ft (190 m2) of the lobby ceiling. Bellagio is home to Cirque du Soleil's aquatic production O. The main (original) tower of Bellagio, with 3,015 rooms, has 36 floors and a height of 508 ft (151 m). The Spa Tower, which opened on December 23, 2004, and stands to the south of the main tower, has 33 floors, a height of 392 ft (119 m) and contains 935 rooms.
MGM Resorts International owned the Bellagio until 2019, when it sold the resort to The Blackstone Group for $4.25 billion. MGM continued to operate the property under a lease arrangement.

【Las Vegas】
Las Vegas (Spanish for The Meadows), officially the City of Las Vegas and often known simply as Vegas, is the 28th-most populated city in the United States, the most populated city in the state of Nevada, and the county seat of Clark County. The city anchors the Las Vegas Valley metropolitan area and is the largest city within the greater Mojave Desert. Las Vegas is an internationally renowned major resort city, known primarily for its gambling, shopping, fine dining, entertainment, and nightlife. The Las Vegas Valley as a whole serves as the leading financial, commercial, and cultural center for Nevada.
The city bills itself as The Entertainment Capital of the World, and is famous for its mega casino–hotels and associated activities. It is a top three destination in the United States for business conventions and a global leader in the hospitality industry, claiming more AAA Five Diamond hotels than any other city in the world. Today, Las Vegas annually ranks as one of the world's most visited tourist destinations. The city's tolerance for numerous forms of adult entertainment earned it the title of Sin City, and has made Las Vegas a popular setting for literature, films, television programs, and music videos.
Las Vegas was settled in 1905 and officially incorporated in 1911. At the close of the 20th century, it was the most populated American city founded within that century (a similar distinction was earned by Chicago in the 19th century). Population growth has accelerated since the 1960s, and between 1990 and 2000 the population nearly doubled, increasing by 85.2%. Rapid growth has continued into the 21st century, and according to estimates from the U.S. Census Bureau, the city had 648,224 residents in 2018, with a metropolitan population of 2,227,053.
As with most major metropolitan areas, the name of the primary city (Las Vegas in this case) is often used to describe areas beyond official city limits. In the case of Las Vegas, this especially applies to the areas on and near the Las Vegas Strip, which is actually located within the unincorporated communities of Paradise and Winchester.

Bellagio Conservatory & Botanical Gardens - Summer 2013
Las Vegas is the only place I know where money really talks--it says, Goodbye.
-Frank Sinatra, The Joker Is Wild
The Bellagio Conservatory & Botanical Gardens (summer 2013).
Every season, the Bellagio completely changes all the decorations in this room. And it's always impressive! If you're in Vegas, it's definitely something you should see.
Bellagio Conservatory & Botanical Gardens - March 2013
March 14th, 2013
March 9th -- May 11th; Open 24hrs, 7 days a week
Herein lies one of the top free activities in Las Vegas — families included. The Bellagio Conservatory & Botanical Gardens create stunning themes to celebrate every season plus the Chinese New Year.
Spring signifies change, renewal, rebirth. What better way to celebrate this than by showcasing butterflies and flowers? You can see colorful huge imitation butterflies hovering above you, created by imaginative artists, or real ones fluttering about in the light-filled, glass-brick greenhouse built especially for this exhibit. Butterflies have been cocooning, changing, and flourishing for over 40 million years. We may learn something.
Flowers surround you as well, real and imagined, in various colors, smells, and sizes. Stroll by Tulips, Iceland Poppies, Hyacinth Orientalis, and Lillies, bursting with bright yellows, purples, reds, pinks, and oranges. The flowers are fresh and fragrant—you will walk out feeling far better than when you walked in.
To accent the flowers and butterflies they've created a two-storey windmill, small foot-bridges, ponds, fountains, Dutch clogs the size of motorcycles, big red paper-mache ladybugs and large paper-mache swans. You need not ask the question, will my children like it?
Two more pleasant surprises: you can learn tips or ask questions of Mr. and Ms. Green Thumb from 10:30am-11:30am, and hear live music (heard in video below) from 5pm-6pm. You simply can't miss with the Conservatory; it's free, festive, and invigorating.
Myriad workers, artists, and specifically 140 horticulturists have worked round the clock for a week to bring you this Spring Celebration. It doesn't cost you a single shekel.
What the caterpillar calls the end of the world, the master calls a butterfly. --Richard Bach
