Skiing holiday January 2018 Belle Plagne France
We had Epic conditions, with unheard of levels of snow. Base at the bottom of the mountain was 1.8m and at the top was 3.5m on the glacier (which was closed) it was apparently 5.5m and out of control! Then it started snowing :) One night we had about 50cm of fresh powder the next day. This was shot that day.

La Plagne guide: from Roche de Mio to Belle Plagne via La Sources, in afternoon, Jan 2019
La Sources is one of the best, if not THE best piste in La Plagne ski resort. It is about 4km run that starts at the top of the Roche de Mio and leads down into Belle Plagne. There is only one steep section is the piste which makes the classification of a red run but the majority of it is like a blue run. It’s a long, fun run with varied gradients that all levels of skiers will enjoy. Advanced skiers will enjoy flying down the run while intermediate skiers will enjoy the mixed terrain.

LA PLAGNE SKIING (ONE OF THE WORLD'S LARGEST SKI RESORT)
La Plagne is a collection of small, purpose-built ski resorts and traditional villages located on the edge of the Vanoise National Park. Renowned as a family-friendly resort, it has a good selection of beginner pistes but also some great choices for the more advanced skier or snowboarder. In addition, La Plagne is part of the famous Paradiski ski area, joined together to Les Arcs by the Vanoise Express cable car.
La Plagne is made up of a number of villages that connect to a vast 220 km piste network, within the Paradiski area. With the new Vanoise express now linking Les Arc, it is one of the largest ski areas in the world with over 420 km of piste! And then there is the off-piste...acres of alpine terrain. One note of caution; La Plagne has a lot of flat spots so snowboarders often have to do some walking. Off the slopes the purpose built resort of La Plagne has enough bars and restaurants to keep everyone fed and watered.
The purpose-built resorts are found at high altitudes (1800m to 2100m). They all have a good choice of apartments, chalets and hotels, all of them offering ski-in/ski-out access, as well as restaurants and nightlife. The more traditional villages of Monchavin, Montalbert and Les Coches lie at lower altitudes (1250m to 1450m) and, while they have their own pistes, they are also linked to the La Plagne ski area.
Getting around is easy thanks to free shuttle buses and a great network of ski lifts that connect all the resorts and villages. Some of these links are open at night to help visitors get from their accommodation to the different restaurants, shops and bars in the neighbouring resorts. This huge area of joined resorts and villages makes La Plagne a true playground for lovers of the outdoors both in summer and winter.
La Plagne is most famous for its top-class skiing and snowboarding but there are plenty of other things to do here throughout the year, from snowsports like snowshoeing and ice skating to summer activities such as mountain biking and cycling, while hikers will love the Vanoise National Park with its marked trails and gorgeous views. The area also has a number of more leisurely pursuits including forested paths, markets and a number of spa facilities.
On La Plagne's doorstep lays the Vanoise National Park, France's first national park, created in 1963. Breathtaking mountain landscapes, picturesque Alpine pastures, murmuring streams and tranquil forests host wild animals like ibexes, chamois, marmots and lynxes. At the entrance of the park sits the Vallon de Champagny le Haut, a collection of traditional Alpine hamlets which are a perfect example of the local architectural heritage.

Des Deux Domaines Hotel Belle Plagne La Plagne Ski Area France March 2017
Pics and video from Des Deux Domaines Hotel in Belle Plagne, in the La Plagne ski area and resort in France taken in March 2017. This shows one of the hotel rooms, which is actually a suite. The hotel, run by esprit ski, is pretty good, and the staff have been great (we've been twice). The rooms are nice and big, well kept and quite comfortable. The suite gave more than enough room for us. We've enjoyed staying there now, two years in a row, and are likely to go again. It has good skiing in and out access from Arpette ski run, and is also pretty handy for getting to the centre of Belle Plagne.

GoPro: Ski Season montage Belle Plagne, France 2016/17 (Workaseason)
During Winter 2016/2017, I worked as a spa girl in Hotel Des Deux Domaine in the ski resort Belle Plagne, France. Here's some footage that I've put together from my GoPro. Literally had the BESTTTTT time living in the mountains and it wouldn’t have been the same without any of the crazy HDDD family.
