Brandywine Creek State Park is a state park, located 3 miles (4.8 km) north of Wilmington, Delaware along the Brandywine Creek. Open year-round, it is 933 acres (378 ha) in area and was a dairy farm owned by the Du Pont family before becoming a state park in 1965. It contains the first two nature preserves in Delaware. These nature preserves are Tulip Tree Woods and Freshwater Marsh. Flint Woods is a satellite area of the park and has become the park's third nature preserve. Flint Woods is home to species of rare song birds and an old growth forest. The park's forests are part of the Northeastern coastal forests ecoregion.[1]
Fourteen miles of trails run the park, the longest being the Rocky Run Trail and the Greenways Trail. Brandywine Creek has a large population of bass, and Wilson's Run is known for its trout. Nearby parks include White Clay Creek State Park, Wilmington State Parks, and Bellevue State Park,More Info

Video of Bellevue State Park, IA from Mary S.
Mary S.'s Review on The Dyrt:
▶︎ Inexpensive, small park - not too much to do
We were just passing through the area south of Dubuque and stayed here on a rainy night. Camping is in the Dyas unit, but there are a few trails and a butterfly garden in the Nelson unit (down the road) but no camping. The butterfly garden was suffering a bit from neglect in August.
It was a decent place to stay for a night, but sites were kinda tight, i.e. close to each other. It's still a bargain at $11/$16 for non-electric/electric sites from 5/1-9/30, and the cost is $6/$11 the rest of the year.
The standard amenities include:
fire ring and picnic table at each site
dump station and potable water
modern bathrooms (as well as pit toilets near the road to sites 11-23...not sure why you'd use these because it's not much farther to a real bathroom)
individual showers, i.e. a door to the outside at each shower
Be sure to check out the photo that shows the site map along with a video that shows each area on that map.

Ghost-Lee Investigations:
Walking at Bellevue State Park
Belevue State Park, Delaware in December 2012.
Bellevue Hall Evidence
Delaware Ghost Hunters (DGH) conducted three separate investigations at Bellevue Hall mansion over the course of the first three months of 2011. The first investigation was a private investigation conducted exclusively by the Delaware Ghost Hunters with the next two remaining investigations being open to the public using our Ghost Hunting 101 format followed by an investigation at Bellevue mansion.
Over the course of our investigation many of our members had personal experiences throughout the mansion and some of those experiences we are able to back up with EVPs (Electronic Voice Phenomenon) and audio evidence. The Delaware Ghost Hunters believe the location's basement to possess the most activity, having experienced more activity in there than any other location of the mansion. We believe it is pertinent to point out that two sets of teams received similar experiences in the basement at two different times. Given the types of activity encountered and the amount of collaborative evidence obtained DGH believes Bellevue Hall to possess evidence of paranormal activity and requires further investigation to confirm a haunted status.
