URUNGA N.S.W. AUSTRALIA
Urunga N.S.W. Australia
Urunga is a small town on the Mid North Coast region of N.S.W. Australia, the town is south of Coffs Harbour and Sawtell and North of Nambucca Heads.
The Urunga Boardwalk has to be one of the best boardwalks on the east coast, with spectacular views from the entire length of the boardwalk.
Urunga Wetlands Boardwalk is one of my favourite place that i felt so relaxed during my first visit and i dont mind going there again.

Great White Shark encounter whilst Kayak Fishing, Urunga, NSW, Australia
Had an awesome encounter with a very large Great White Shark in the kayak this morning. The footage kicks in after it had circled me once already and I decided to move away...unfortunately she decided to give chase, she was very curious. Such an awesome experience, I've caught small Sharks in the past, had juvenile Bull Sharks cruise past the yak in local estuaries...but nothing like this Beast.
The last part of the footage was taken by Dave Barwise after I moved over near him, he caught some awesome footage of the Shark checking me out. Please excuse the language, panicked breathing and shaky footage...but I'm sure considering what happend you can understand my excitement and fear.
Side note - please no stupid comments about killing sharks, I don't condone or agree to the culling of any Sharks. These type of Apex Predators are to be admired and respected, its their backyard...I'm only visting.
Enjoy, KG ????????
PS - the fishing was slow..so this was an exciting way to cap off the morning.
URUNGA - Beautiful Beachside Acres -- Private, Pristine and Practical
This magnificent property offers 18.5 beautiful beachside acres with perfect privacy, just 1200m from patrolled Hungry Head Beach and 3000m from the serene and secluded Wenonah Headland. The 14m x 12m fully insulated shed provides approved 2 bedroom accommodation while you build your dream home (approved, architect designed, executive home plans included). With private lake frontage and 700 established macadamia trees just 25 minutes drive (32km) from Coffs Harbour airport, this could be your personal paradise.
As you probably know, acreage close to any beach is rare and the fact that this property comes with existing infrastructure of very high quality so you can live here immediately, makes it even rarer. From the road entry, you can see nothing except the tree lined driveway disappearing into the distance where you will later discover the existing shed with approved accommodation and the proposed house site for your dream home.
Now, we'll call this shed the shouse since it is actually shed and house combined and I'll give you a brief description of what we have here. A fully insulated steel and colorbond building (14 x 12m) with Anticon blanket on the entire roof, plus R5 ceiling batts and R2.5 wall batts in bedrooms etc. It offers 2 bedrooms, kitchen with gas cooktop and electric oven, living and bathroom with ceiling fans in all rooms, instant gas hot water, 3 phase power, 2 phone lines and envirocycle onsite waste disposal system.
The shed part of the shouse offers an additionally reinforced concrete slab (to handle VERY heavy stuff) that has been coated with rubber texture coating for comfort underfoot and a more user friendly surface. The high lift roller door (3.3m) is remote control with ample clearance for large boats or caravans, etc and there's plenty of space here for secure storage of all your toys. In addition to the shouse you'll also find an 11 x 7m machinery shed up close to the road, complete with power and bathroom.
So....back to luxurious lifestyle next to the beach. The approved, architect designed executive home plans that are included with this property are simply stunning with the proposed house site overlooking the private lake frontage amidst the magic macadamia trees. This property also adjoins State Forest, providing easy access to lots and lots of walking or riding trails.
There's a cleared, fenced paddock that's ideal for a horse(s) and there is both horse and 4WD access to the beach nearby. Speaking of the beach, the popular and patrolled Hungry Head Beach is just 10 minute walk (1200m) away and if you're into ocean fishing you'll appreciate the fishing club tractor at Third Headland for launching your boat or simply casting your beach rod from the waters edge.
There's a 5,000 gallon rain water tank in place with electric demand feed pump and town water is available if you so desire. There's a bus-stop literally at the property boundary and the location is ideal, just 33km from Coffs Harbour, 21km from Bellingen, 5km from Urunga and 17km from Nambucca.
What more could you want? The shouse is currently rented at $350pw but available for vacant possession if you want to move in. The machinery shed is rented for $100pw and the property comes with confirmed primary producer status, thanks to the macadamia trees, that may be helpful in reducing your tax bill.
This is a rare opportunity to buy 18.5 beautiful beachside acres and lots of existing infrastructure and a possible tax break. It's a private and pristine paradise and if you'd like to make it yours then....

Superb 8.5 acres only 5 minutes from Australias most beautiful rural town, Bellingen. 10 minutes to spectacular beaches. Great soil, wonderful climate. a 3 bedroom house with separate self contained studio. The perfect small acreage….
It’s not often a small manageable acreage comes up this close to town….in fact, this close to everything! 8.5 acres consisting of rolling lawns and stunning timber.
The house is perfectly positioned taking in magnificent views of world heritage Gondwana National Park. Western Red cedar exterior with deep wrap around decks, the home is nestled into the side of the land. Enter into the living room, sit and watch the ever-changing landscape whilst your slow combustion fire keeps things cosy. The kitchen is modern and well positioned….bamboo bench tops and modern appliances, close to the back deck entertaining area.
There are 3 bedrooms at the northern end of the house. One of the bathrooms bathrooms is also located off the back deck.
Outside, off the deck is your second bathroom…..and just around the corner is this great studio/office or separate guest accommodation. Private and very handy.
The shed is a huge bonus. Power and concrete slab, an excellent hobbies and workshop space.
Walking past vegetable gardens, stroll up and spend some time at the fire pit taking in the world at your feet. What an outlook. Another shed is located here.
The paddocks slope to the North West. Good soil and abundant rainfall will enable you to grow nearly anything you desire.
Take a walk through your own bushland paradise. Magnificent old trees and a myriad of wildlife.
There is also the added potential for sub-division, subject to council approval.
We are only minutes to Australia’s most beautiful rural town, Bellingen. Located on the banks of the Bellinger River which flows so close to your home and out to the pacific ocean only 10 minutes down the road. Beaches, mountains, fantastic community and opportunity are all here.
This property is a must see. One of the most affordable acreages this close to town.

BELLINGEN - Historic Home, Rare Riverfront and Even Rarer River Views
This magnificent 45 acre property is just 18 Km (20 mins drive) from Bellingen with approx 250m of frontage to the Bellinger River as well as 2 pristine creeks running through the property. The historic weatherboard farmhouse offers 3 bedrooms, renovated kitchen, polished timber floors, high ceilings and bullnose verandahs with very rare and relaxing river views. The old dairy has been renovated and converted into a lovely studio, plus there's sheds, covered entertainment area, and chook shed along with gorgeous gardens producing fabulous flowers all year round, and approximately 25 acres of cleared land and 20 acres of forest.
This property is beautifully private from the road and it's not until you drive into the circular driveway that you get a taste of what is really here. The bullnose verandahs immediately take you back to a bygone era, while modern renovations like the large timber and glass doors bringing the outside in, creates a feeling and space that the original house wouldn't have had.
The living/dining area is a good space (approx 6 x 5m) that enjoys cool breezes in summer with good cross-flow ventilation, and with the slow combustion fire it's also a very cosy space in winter. The recently renovated kitchen has been opened up to the living/dining area through a large serving window and offers refinished timber bench tops, plenty of cupboard space, dishwasher and double sink with delightful garden views.
All 3 bedrooms are generous in size (each approx 4 x 4m) with polished timber floors, high ceilings, peaceful views and direct access to the bullnose verandahs, and those rare river views. The bathroom offers a separate bath and shower, with timber vanity and dual flush toilet with the 'laundry in a cupboard' as an added surprise. The sunroom provides the link between the bathroom the kitchen, the living/dining area, and the paved back patio.
The converted dairy/studio is lovely space with lots of light and divided into 2 separate areas to do with as you choose. Of course there's power and lights here with concrete floors and timber walls, timber windows and timber doors as well as 2 lovely lead light feature windows.
The shed has 2 bays, 1 open and 1 closed, there's power and lights here with plenty of space to 'do your stuff', plus there's an adjoining carport/tractor shed. The separate covered entertainment area currently houses a dining setting with delightful views of the river, the gardens and beyond, while nearby you'll find mangoes, star fruit and bananas as well as the magnificent tallowwood stump of the tree that was felled and milled to build the original house.
Outside, the gardens are just gorgeous, having been crafted by two keen horticulturalist nurserymen, creating a fairytale-like space, particularly when the peacocks parade through on their way to bed. The garden is a delightful mix of natives and tropicals, including palms, frangipani, camellias, azaleas, moraya, red cedar, native orchids and lots, lots more.
The frontage to the Bellinger River is simply magnificent with lots of swimming and fishing holes to choose from and the 2 pristine creeks provide crystal clear water and have never been known to dry up. The cleared land includes both flat and undulating land, all of which is fertile and suited to many agricultural pursuits, and excellent for horses with access to lots and lots of tracks to ride to your hearts content. These well established tracks are also good for mechanical horses, if you happen to have a rev head in the family, but either way the forested land is a delightful resource for your favourite recreational activities as well as simply relaxing and marvelling at all the amazing bird and wildlife you will discover.

Epic Canoe Camping Trip on the Murray River, Australia.
We spent 34 days paddling (1420kms/882 miles) and camping along the banks of the mighty Murray River from Yarrawonga, Victoria to Renmark, South Australia. Rain, hail or shine we persevered, enjoying the magic of the Australian outdoors and getting up close and personal with wildlife and the elements. Look out for some key moments like when we had to out paddle a storm, save 3 stranded sheep and also check out the awesome animals including Kangaroos, Emus, Echidna, Australian birdls, Snake’s, Goanna’s (monitor lizard) and an awesome king fu praying mantis.
