Located in the hill country between Lower Hutt and Porirua, the regional park is easily accessible from Petone, Kelson, Lower Hutt, Grenada North and Porirua. Once there, you'll find plenty to enjoy.

First try of my Oregon Scientific HD Camera, location is Belmont Regional Park Wellington New Zealand from top of Old Coach Road to Stratton Street via some great bush tracks. Need to move the camera up slightly on helmet!
Belmont, Lower Hutt - Professionals
Belmont is a suburb on the Western Hills just minutes away from the heart of Lower Hutt. The Belmont domain is also part of Belmont and sits at the foot of the hill next to the river.
The combination of hills and 2,000 hectares of native bush help give the suburb a mature, private and serene character with peaceful views of the Hutt Valley and Wellington Harbour.
Belmont is famous for its bush walks including the Speedy's Reserve track, Belmont Regional Park and the rhododendron garden which is renowned for its beautiful flowers.
The Hutt River trail, located at the base of the hill, is perfect for people who want to walk, cycle and kayak. The local Scout hall and adventure playground add further appeal to an area with thriving community spirit.
Belmont has two local primary schools including Maranatha Christian School and Belmont School.
Secondary education is abundant in Lower Hutt and students need to only take a short trip into the city to find a school of their choice.
There is easy access to the motorway with a 15 minute drive to Wellington City and quick commute to Lower Hutt CBD.
It is easy to see why Belmont is a popular suburb of Lower Hutt which contains a variety of subdivisions varying in age and size from rural lifestyle blocks to contemporary sections.
With such a great place to sit back and enjoy life you have to get in quick to grab your spot of prime real estate in Belmont.

Flying into Belmont Regional Park

The massive flood that washed right up into Belmont Regional Park, Lower Hutt Wellington, eighteen months ago (May 2015) had caused immense damage to the park's facilities. This particular helicopter operation is one of the few done, that also marks the finishing stage of the park's restoration plan, with the new bridge brought in by air. Concrete had been set previously for the bridge to be laid in place. Building materials are being transported in and out of the park.

Staglands cafe and Kaitoke regional park
New Zealand Vlog!
HAPPY NEW YEAR!
We went to have lunch at staglands cafe and it was YUM! staff were friendly, food was great and ambience was the best! Then we head of to Kaitoke regional park to visit one of the location of Lord of the rings in New Zealand which is Rivendell. Then we went through the swing bridge which was a little bit traumatic for jhanna and ended the day throwing rocks in the river.

- This 'Wellington New Zealand Bush Walks' video is a compilation of video clips that I recorded when I was writing my Wellington Day Walks book. All locations are in Wellington or Greater Wellington and the walks are described in great detail in my book. You will see bush and trees in forests, hear birds, and see streams, cascades, and waterfalls.

Greater Wellington Regional Council Summer Events team up with Wellington Cross Country Vehicle Club for a 4WD trip across the tops of Belmont Regional Park ending with sunset views over Wellington and Cook Strait before returning.

Exploring the Korokoro Track at the Belmont National Park, Wellington. Beautiful rainy day made perfect conditions for getting into the woods and film our hike.
On this video, I used my Canon EOS 1300D with a 55mm lens. Editing was done using Premiere and intro text animation in After Effects.
