[4K] Benalmádena (2019) Torremolinos to Marina - Costa Del Sol Walking tour
Join us for this 4k virtual tour of Benalmádena Marina on the Costa Del Sol near Málaga. Experience local life on as if you were there. Then do leave a comment or tip about the town below, we'll always take time to reply.
Filmed on the last day of February, we start our slow tv walking tour on Costa de la Carihuela - the promenade lined with restaurants and bars that leads all the way from Torremolinos.
The sun is still warm and the shadows are long as we cut across Playa la Fuente de la Salud to join Calle La Fragata and gain sight of the boats and yachts moored up in the Marina itself.
Puerto Marina has won the 'Best Marina in the World' award several times, and is characterised by its unique architecture.
Benalmádena Marina (Puerto Marina) is also the natural choice for nightlife with it's huge choice of restaurants - Asian, Italian, Tapas and Steak to name a few, and bars and cafes that overlook the water. There's also clubs for when the sun goes down.
A visit to the Marina is definitely on the top of the Benalmadena top 10 things to do.
How do we afford to travel so often? We're lucky enough to stay for almost free in every city, using

My Benalmadena Experience | Pt.1
This is my Benalmadena, Spain Adventure.
Part 2 -
I flew from Southampton Airport, UK to Malaga, Spain when arrived I stayed at Pueblo Evita, Benalmadena.
Whilst in Benalmadena I had the privilege to visit Selwo Marina Delfinarium which also offers a Zoo next door. The Zoo has many animals to be seen including Dolphins which allows you to see a Dolphin Show which is incredible as the Dolphins have a 1-2-1 trainer who look after these Dolphins themselves.
I also went in a Cable Car from Benalmadena, up to the Calamorro Mountains which is approximately 780 metres up which offer amazing views, the Calamorro Mountains have a network of 2,800 metres of footpaths and a viewpoint from which visitors can see all of Fuengirola, Torremolinos and even Gibraltar and coast of Africa.

Benalmádena is a town on southern Spain's Costa del Sol, known for its beaches and Tivoli World theme park. The modern Puerto Marina is home to the Sea Life Benalmádena aquarium and moored yachts. In the traditional Andalusian old town lie the Castillo Monumento Colomares, a castle-style monument dedicated to Christopher Columbus and his discovery of America, and the Benalmádena Stupa, a large Buddhist temple.
Benalmádena is a town in Andalusia in southern Spain, 12 km west of Málaga, on the Costa del Sol between Torremolinos and Fuengirola. Benalmádena is rich in attractive beaches and interesting places like the Colomares Castle, the 33-meter-tall Buddhist Benalmádena Stupa, the largest Buddhist stupa in Europe, and the Benalmádena Marina.
Benalmádena covers an area of just over than 27 km2 that extends from the summits of the Sierra de Mijas to the sea, falling in some places as a cliff. The territory is crossed from east to west on Highway A-7, which connects with the provincial capital and other centers of the Mediterranean coast. Benalmádena has been inhabited since prehistoric times. Benalmádena experienced a remarkable development during the period of Muslim domination. Its development was paralyzed after joining the Crown of Castile in 1485 due to various natural disasters and the intensity of the activity of privateers in the area. The paper industry and vineyard cultivation reactivated the local economy during the 18th and 19th centuries. In the early twentyfirst century Benalmádena is one of the main tourist destinations on the Costa del Sol, with leisure facilities including an amusement park, two aquariums, a casino, a cable car and one of the largest marinas of Andalusia.
In 1784 the Italian Félix Solesio purchased the farm “Arroyo de la Miel” to build six paper factories to supply the Royal Factory of Playing Cards of Macharaviaya. The destination for most production was the American market. This would mean the birth of the nucleus of Arroyo de la Miel around the new business and the factories built at what is now “Plaza de España”, containing the “Portal de San Carlos” (San Carlos gate) with the arms of Solesio and the “La Tribuna” building. A monument to the founder of this complex was erected in the square. In the 19th century the city grew through the exploitation of muscatel grapes for the wine production, but the vine plague of phylloxera ruined crops across the province. Epidemics of malaria, typhoid and cholera also undermined the population. The municipality's population boom began in the 1950s with the birth and development of mass tourism on the Spanish coast. Many established hotels, restaurants and businesses opened in this period, such as the Hotel Triton [1961], Tivoli World amusement park [1973], Torrequebrada casino and hotel [1979], Selwo Aquarium, Sea Life Aquarium, Chollocasa, Cable car, Irentinsapain, Hotel Alay. Many more were constructed in the early twentyfirst century.
The township of Benalmádena has the largest example of a Buddhist stupa in the Western world, Benalmádena Stupa, constructed in 2003. In Arroyo de la Miel, Avenida Garcia Lorca has the Costa del Sol's only real ice skating rink. Benalmádena Council is integrated into the Málaga Metropolitan Transport Consortium. There is a single ticket for metropolitan and urban buses, railway, the future Málaga Underground.

My Benalmadena Experience | Pt.2
This is Part 2 Of My Benalmadena Experience.
This shows a walk down Benalmadena Beach all the way down to the Marina of Benalmadena.
I then caught a train from Benalmadena to Torremolinos to visit the sights there and see what it had to offer. Whilst there I had to stop off at Helartia Ice Cream Parlour which was unbelievable and well worth the stop.
Also after another Train Journey to Fuenigorola I ended up at the Zoo (Bioparc Fuenigorola) which is in quite a strange location as it is located in the Centre of Fuenigorola but offers amazing animals to see.
Thanks for Watching....
