Video of the East Lochgelly30-08-2010
I took this video around the East Lochgelly on 30-08-2010
I started the video neat the top or south side of the Lochgelly`s public park and ended up back there.
The route is down The Avenue past Andrew Antennas now called CommScope. At the bottom of The Avenue I turn to the right and go along to the new Lochgelly Raceway stadium (They had not long started building it when I went along. There is a right-of-way next to the entrance which supposed to go to Dundonald but was not accessible to me on my scooter until recently (I have include a photo of the new entrance to the right-of-way which come out next to Spittal Farm, Dundonald. I have taken a video and photo`s of it).
From there I turned around and headed the Liza Brae B981past The New Farm.
I then crossed the road and went into Colquhally Road, a farm road that goes through Easter and Wester Colquhally Farms then into Cartmore Industrial Estate. You can continue with the walk I`m doing by continue though the Industrial Estate to the main road and turn left then left again into Stationhead Road the into Lomond Crescent, but I am going to try going a different route by turning back at the Industrial Estate, back past Wester Colquhally Farm then straight forwards to the railway then under the bridge (watch out though there can be broken glass under the bridge).
This route has steps but there is space on the right where I can get up.
The Stationhead Road the into Lomond Crescent route I spoke about joins up with this path. I continue up this path into Morris Avenue which is a bit of a maze to get to Auchterderran Road. Cross over. Auchterderran Road to the entrance of the path next to the bus stop.
This path takes you to the bottom/north end of the Public Park. This path goes past the old Air Training Corps Lochgelly HQ. I was one of the original members when the HQ opened, it used to be in the Lochgelly South School before the new HQ was built. Past the HQ there`s the Allotments on the left.
Past the Allotments you go into the all-weather Athletics track and now to its left is a Football pitch. We then move into the Public Park and back to where I/we started.
I did this walk with my scooter at the time a Stirling Elite 3 wheeler with my dog Jasper.
