A Journey on the Bennett Brook Railway
Hop on board the Bennett Brook Railway for a trip around the Bushland Loop behind 0-4-2 Perry locomotive, Betty Thompson.
Situated in Whiteman Park in Perth, Western Australia, the Railway is two foot gauge and comprises of the Bushland Loop (five kilometres) and the Mussel Pool Branch line (one and a quarter kilometres).
The Railway operates locomotives from sugar cane mills in Queensland, light railway engines from across Australia and mainline engines from South Africa. For rolling stock, the Railway has converted ex-WAGR freight wagons to two foot gauge, with most carriage bodies built by the Railway.
This video was recorded on the 25th of September 2017.

Bennett Brook Railway - May 2015
Two visits to the Bennett Brook Railway in Whiteman Park on the outskirts of Perth, Western Australia generated these clips. This 24 gauge railway was scratch built and is equipped with a number of station buildings, signalboxes and a 60' turntable acquired from locations across Western Australia that have either been closed or absorbed into the modern TransPerth commuter network. The clips include two British-built small diesel locomotives and one Australian-built steam engine, all lovingly restored by the BBR volunteers. There are some short clips of the Whiteman tram, another local attraction in the park, with a vintage Melbourne vehicle in operation.escription
