The Famous Landour Bazaar sprawling into the contiguous town of Mussoorie | Bird's Eye view
Spread on the top of the hill is the famous 'Landour Bazaar' merging into the contiguous town of Mussoorie. It's a hill station constructed during the British era. This was initially developed by the British as a hunting ground and the cantonment for raising the reputed Gorkha regiment.
The cantonment still exists in the vicinity of the tourist destination of Mussoorie.

Jabarkhet Nature Reserve - The Forest Never Sleeps
At Jabarkhet Nature Reserve, camera traps with motion sensors capture candid glimpses of wild species, from porcupines and yellow-throated martens to leopards and bears. All of the images in this film were taken by the animals themselves, without any people being present. Both in darkness and in daylight, these creatures reveal a rich diversity of life in the lower Himalaya. It is like looking through a keyhole into nature’s secret world!
Jabarkhet Nature Reserve is 100 acres of private land surrounded by government forest. This short film demonstrates how successful conservation projects can be initiated in relatively small areas of forest close to human habitation. By engaging with neighbouring communities and providing local livelihoods, it is possible to secure and sustain our environmental heritage.

Hiking Mussoorie Hills (PART 1): Trekking in Uttarakhand
This hike is an easy one and a very good one if you are trekking for the first time in life. It gives you a glimpse of the raw essence of Himalayas without a major toll on your body.
Benog Wildlife Sanctuary a part of Rajaji National Park is located about 11 km from Library Point in the ‘Queen of Hills’ Mussoorie. It is surrounded by the benedictory pines, old cedar trees, and medicinal plants that grow in abundance in this area.
The sanctuary has developed as a bird watching haven and is a home to a wide variety of birds such as White Capped Water Redstart and Red Billed Blue Magpie to name a few. One can also admire an eye-captivating view of the snow-clad Chaukhamba and Bandarpunch peaks from here. The popular tourist spots near the Benog Wildlife Sanctuary are the Hathipaon Estate and Cloud’s End.

St. Paul's church in Landour - next to Chaar Dukani
Just next to the little bazaar of Chaar Dukani of Landour and the Language School where foreigners learn to speak Hindi stands this church known as St. Pauls' Church.
Landour, a small cantonment town contiguous with Mussoorie, is about 35 km (22 mi) from the city of Dehradun in the northern state of Uttarakhand in India. The twin towns of Mussoorie and Landour, together, are a well-known British Raj-era hill station in northern India. Mussoorie-Landour was widely known as the Queen of the Hills. The name Landour is drawn from Llanddowror, a village in Carmarthenshire in southwest Wales. During the Raj, it was common to give nostalgic English, Scottish, Welsh or Irish names to one's home (or even to British-founded towns), reflecting one's ethnicity. Names drawn from literary works were also common, as from those by Robert Burns, Walter Scott, Thomas Hardy, Robert Louis Stevenson and many others.
