Dan pursues the elusive Living Legend east of LaJunta, CO for some rare mileage for steam on the Boise City Sub into an eastern Colorado Blizzard on Nov.2, 2011 as the celebration heads to Oklahoma. Union Pacific's Iconic Steam Locomotive No. 844 to Join State Centennial Celebrations in New Mexico, Arizona ! UP#844, will travel through the Southwestern United States to kick off state centennial celebrations in New Mexico and Arizona, respectively. No. 844 is the last steam locomotive built for Union Pacific and will travel more than 2,900 miles from its base in Wyoming on a 32-day, nine-state tour that will honor the rich railroad heritage of the scenic Southwest. It is fitting that No. 844 will be the flag bearer for these centennial celebrations The New Mexico/Arizona Centennial Tour begins October 29 when No. 844 departs Cheyenne, Wyo. The train's consist, which will include passenger cars from Union Pacific's renowned Heritage Fleet, will stop in each of the following cities before arriving back in Cheyenne November 29.

No. 844, also known as Union Pacific's Living Legend, returned to service in 2005 after one of the most extensive steam locomotive overhauls in the United States since regular steam service ended. The work, which started in 2000, included overhauling the locomotive's running gear, pumps, piping, valves and springs, along with replacement of its firebox and extensive boiler work. The cab interior also was refurbished. No. 844 was the last steam locomotive built for Union Pacific Railroad and was delivered in 1944. A passenger locomotive, it pulled such widely known trains as the Overland Limited, Los Angeles Limited, Portland Rose and Challenger. When diesel-electric locomotives took over all passenger train duties, No. 844 was placed in freight service in Nebraska between 1957 and 1959. It was saved from being scrapped in 1960 and held for special service.The engine has run hundreds of thousands of miles as Union Pacific's ambassador of goodwill. It has made appearances at Expo '74 in Spokane, the 1981 opening of the California State Railroad Museum in Sacramento, the 1984 World's Fair in New Orleans and the 50th Anniversary Celebration of Los Angeles Union Station in 1989. During the 1990s, No. 844 pulled numerous Denver Post Cheyenne Frontier Days specials and visited several Oklahoma cities during the Oklahoma Centennial in 2007. In 2010, No. 844 traveled to Harlingen, Texas, and Milliken, Colo., to be a part of those communities' heritage celebrations. Earlier this year the locomotive traveled 2,500-miles pulling the Little Rock Express Tour special as well as being on public display during the College World Series in Omaha, Neb., and pulling the Denver Post Cheyenne Frontier Days train.One of the rail cars that travels with No. 844 has a Global Positioning Satellite (GPS) transmitter. While visiting Tucson, AZ for a couple weeks we knew we wanted to stay somewhere safe but free, so after doing my research on freecampsites.net I found this wonderful HUGE campground! We had nothing but pleasant experiences at this campground and highly recommend staying here. There's plenty to do while staying here and the temperatures in December were wonderful - we highly recommend staying here!

Mars Dome & Pyramid Structures - Benton Crater Sphere. ArtAlienTV
Exclusive We have a clear 50 foot dome or sphere in a Mars Crater with large pipes coming out of it on the left. Also a triangular pyramid shaped structure about 500 feet away from it that is 120 ft wide. I have named the dome crater Benton after the eagle eyed researcher William Benton who discovered it just yesterday. A great name for a crater I think.
These features look artificial in nature and are clearly visible on Google Mars with no enhancements. A slight contrast adjustment really pops the details out. The structures are between the Mawrth Vallis region and Oyama Crater in an area that was short listed for a Mars Rover to explore for possible signs of life before Gale Crater was eventually chosen. Clear instructions where to look on Google Earth/Mars are in the video. It is not hard to find.
An open mind is required when viewing images from other planets. One day our very survival may depend on it .
My image enhancements are always shown next to the official raw images to show that they are well within the bounds of sensible inquiry and analysis. As is always the case with members of UFAH. (United Family of Anomaly Hunters)

The Power of YouTube
After my recent appearances on the latest season of Ancient Aliens and meeting very interesting experts from around the world,
I am more convinced than ever that my research has lead me on the right track into unveiling the truth about our distant past both on Earth, Mars and other near planets.
After starting my channel just a few years ago, I seem to have been slingshot-ed into the public domain and the TV world at high speed starting with Channel 5 and now the History Channel.
This goes to show the real power that YouTube has and the way that TV companies pull new presenters and material from diverse online sources.
The TV world is always looking for new talent and a fresh look at sometimes controversial subject matters. It finally seems that the hard research that I and other YouTube channels are doing is getting not only noticed but snapped up in a bid to keep up with research that is leaping forward at quite a pace.
It also seems that the news press are finally taking heed of our articles although often with a not so subliminal sneer usually reserved for politicians.
I now think there has been a polar shift in the media attitude towards exopolitics and planetary exploration caused by us online space geeks. Somebody high up in the food chain has finally realized that we are actually going to colonize Mars and perhaps other near bodies.
Maybe some of the global elite want a place reserved in case of a global disaster down here on our choking Mother Earth.
There is still a way to go yet but events are accelerating, just don't expect everyone to relish it.

GM Heritage Museum
This video is a quick walk through and glimpse in HD of the GM Heritage Museum (no narration). This is a great collection of GM cars and trucks along with other GM automotive history. The museum is located in Sterling Heights, Michigan. It is not open to the individual public. I got a special invite to attend a two hour showing with the local Oldsmobile Club, so I made the trip from Arizona since I figured I may never get another chance. Date of tour was Oct 1, 2011.
