Berg Lake Trail, Mt Robson, BC, Canada in 4K (Ultra HD)
Berg Lake Trail is frequently quoted as one of the finest trails in the Canadian Rockies and in North America.
The trail to Robson Pass is 46 km / 28 mi round trip. We had to add to this the Mumm Basin-Hargreaves Glacier trail, which provides stunning views to Berg Lake and Berg Glacier, some 2000 m / 6,560 ft under Mt Robson summit.
Amazing hike, my only dissatisfaction was with the air - not clear that day because of distan fires in the Rockies (quite visible in the far away shots of Mt Robson).
Main locations, as shown in the video (first appearance, if many): Mt Robson (0:05), Robson River (0:25), Kinney Lake (0:39), Valley of a Thousand Falls (0:48), Falls of the Pool (1:52), Emperor Falls (2:19), Mist Glacier (2:39), Berg Lake (2:55), Berg Glacier (3:08) Views from Mumm Basin trail (4:03), Robson Glacier (4:10 on the left), Hargreaves Glacier and Lake (5:17), Mt Robson from the Visitors Center (5:50).
Recorded July 2015 in 4K (Ultra HD) with Sony AX100. Edited with Adobe Premiere Pro CC.

My husband's first ever backpacking trip. Probably one of the most beautiful places I have ever been. Lakes, mountains, iceberg, and waterfall upon waterfall. A tough climb to the top!

Canada's Mt Robson: Hiking the Berg Lake Trail and Snowbird Pass
Hiking the Berg Lake Trail over four days was one of the highlights of our time in Canada.
This incredible trail leads right up to Berg Lake and the Berg Glacier at the foot of the majestic Mount Robson, the highest peak in the Canadian Rockies.
A 21 km out-and-back hike to Berg lake, we added on the epic 24 km Snowbird Pass day hike while we were up there which really made the trip for us - it was so varied, with amazing views the entire route as you will see.

The Berg Lake Trail | Mount Robson Park | Snowbird Pass | Emperor Falls
The Berg Lake Trail in Mount Robson Provincial Park. Snowbird Pass, Emperor Falls. Prepping for the Mount Robson Ultra 50 k marathon. The Berg Lake Trail is a world-renowned backcountry hiking trail. Gaining just under 800 metres in 23 kilometres, the trail traverses three biogeoclimatic zones.
This trail takes hikers to some of the best scenery in the province. Beyond Kinney Lake, the trail enters the Valley of a Thousand Falls. Fed by the massive Mist, Berg and Robson glaciers, visitors often see huge sections of ice break off or “calve” into the blue/green, silt-laden waters of Berg Lake. Berg Lake campsite is 21 km from the trailhead parking lot. Use one of the campgrounds as a base and take in some day hiking or continue past Robson Pass campground for a challenging excursion. Mount Robson is the most prominent mountain in North America's Rocky Mountain range; it is also the highest point in the Canadian Rockies. The mountain is located entirely within Mount Robson Provincial Park of British Columbia, and is part of the Rainbow Range. Mount Robson is the second highest peak entirely in British Columbia.

Berg Lake Trail to Moose River - Packrafting in Mount Robson Provincial and Jasper National Park
SUBSCRIBE to my NEW packrafting/adventure channel here: This is the most scenic packraft (or any kind of) trip I've ever been on. In order to complete the first descent of the Moose River in Jasper National Park, Luke Schmidt and I hiked the Berg Lake Trail in Mount Robson Provincial Park in Northern British Columbia. We then continued around Mount Robson to Snowbird Pass. From there we descended onto the Reef Icefield, crossed the Coleman Glacier, traversed an unnamed pass across the border into Alberta, bushwhacked down Steppe Creek, got in the boats and rafted to the Moose River. After paddling half the Moose River, we hiked over the ridge into Resplendent Creek, ran the Resplendent, portaged some waterfalls, back to the Moose, around more waterfalls, then floated the Moose again and hiked out. Throw in some gorges, bears, and a surprise or two and that's basically it :). Thanks as always to Kokopelli Packraft and Seek Outside for quality exploration gear and to my lovely wifey for being supportive of my adventuring.
