Our reporter Shan Robins went along to find out more.
Coventry High Street
Today's Coventry High Street is famous for being home to banks, building societies and Subway. It hasn't always been this way. This slideshow of images takes us from the 1800's through to the present day. As usual, they are from my own personal collection and that of Rob Orland, who has kindly allowed me to use his ones in this production.

The Crypt of the Capuchin Monks *DISTURBING*
This video was taken in August 2013 in Rome, Italy. Filmed on a GoPro Hero 3 Silver, edited with iMovie, and music by Boards of Canada and their track Music is Math.
As described by Wikipedia:
The Capuchin Crypt is a small space comprising several tiny chapels located beneath the church of Santa Maria della Concezione dei Cappuccini on the Via Veneto near Piazza Barberini in Rome, Italy. It contains the skeletal remains of 3,700 bodies believed to be Capuchin friars buried by their order.
To those who might take offense to the video:
The Catholic order insists that the display is not meant to be macabre, but a silent reminder of the swift passage of life on Earth and our own mortality.
Gallery in a former crypt beneath St. Pancras Church
Just a stones throw away from the Southeastern hub of St Pancras International station is one of the most unusual galleries you’ll ever come across. The crypt gallery used to be an upmarket burial site for wealthy families who didn’t want to bury their loved ones with the hoi polloi. They opted for a more dignified end in the cavernous space underneath the church rather than the overcrowded village burial grounds above.

Library Lowdown: Ordering a book to the Reading Room
Library Lowdown - a series of video shorts introducing essential tips for using the UL.
There are around 6 million books stored in areas of the UL that are closed to readers. You can request these items through the catalogue and they will be fetched for you in around half an hour.
The Librarysearch catalogue can be accessed online from anywhere. You can search for the book you need using title and author information. Find online tips on searching the catalogue effectively in the ‘Library Help’ section of the Libraries Gateway.
Once you have found the book you need, select ‘Check request options’ and follow the instructions on screen. A member of the Reader Services staff will now fetch the book for you. You can collect your book from the Reading Room or West Room on the day you order it, or on the following day.
If you need any help ordering a book that isn’t on the open shelves, ask at the Reading Room desk.

Listening is a more natural way of learning, when compared to reading. Written language only began at around 3200 BC, but spoken language has existed long ago.
Learning by listening is a great way to:
- increases imagination and understanding
- improves your listening skills
- improves your own spoken accent
- learn while on the move
- reduce eye strain
Now learn the vast amount of general knowledge available on Wikipedia through audio (audio article). You could even learn subconsciously by playing the audio while you are sleeping! If you are planning to listen a lot, you could try using a bone conduction headphone, or a standard speaker instead of an earphone.

SUMMARY
=======
Coventry ( (listen) KOV-ən-tree or KUV-) is a city, administrative centre and metropolitan borough in the West Midlands, England.
Historically part of Warwickshire, at the 2011 census Coventry had a population of 316,915, making it the 9th largest city in England and the 12th largest in the United Kingdom. It is the second largest city in the West Midlands region, after Birmingham, and although proximite to the West Midlands conurbation, it is just outside it.
Coventry is 19 miles (31 km) east-southeast of Birmingham, 24 miles (39 km) southwest of Leicester, 11 miles (18 km) north of Warwick and 94 miles (151 km) northwest of London. Coventry is also the most central city in England, being only 11 miles (18 km) south-southwest of the country's geographical centre in Leicestershire and is located in the West Midlands.
The current Coventry Cathedral was built after the majority of the 14th century cathedral church of Saint Michael was destroyed by the Luftwaffe in the Coventry Blitz of 14 November 1940. Coventry motor companies have contributed significantly to the British motor industry. The city has three universities, Coventry University in the city centre, the University of Warwick on the southern outskirts and the smaller private Arden University, headquartered close to Coventry Airport.
On 7 December 2017, the city won the title of UK City of Culture 2021, after beating Paisley, Stoke-on-Trent, Swansea and Sunderland to the title. They will be the third title holder, of the quadrennial award which began in 2013.
