Carnival Legend Cruise From Hell 30 People in Altercation on 10 Day Australian Cruise What a cruise! It was supposed to be a pleasent 10 day South Pacific cruise with warm water, gentle winds great beaches and good times. But oh no, we had upwards of 30 people causing problems with fellow passengers and security staff. It was called the cruise from hell and a bloodbath. All members of the offending family were removed from the ship on day 9 by police. Yikes!

The return passage... the second of 3 legs on the eastbound Atlantic crossing, completing an Atlantic Circuit, Jan-June 2015. After 12 days at sea, Our Alibi made landfall at Flores, the westernmost island in the Azores. It is a real gem, rarely visited by foreigners and about as remote an island as you can find amongst civilized places on earth.

Team vodafone sailing in the Sail Noumea race, 980nm from Auckland, a character building race, light winds at the start and finish but a nice send in the middle. Posted a new multihull record of 3 days 6 hours 29 minutes.

Welcome to our Whitsunday holiday experience where we hired a new Beneteau Oceanis 41.1 sailboat and spent 2 weeks sailing around this beautiful part of the world.
We visited all the popular destinations like Whitehaven Beach and Cid Harbour. The video shows us diving at Hook Island and the famous Woodpile. We feed the fishes and take a great time-lapse of the stars. We walk to one of the Whitsunday Island Peaks and we visit Hamilton Island and hire at buggy. Lots of stunning drone shots with Mavic Pro.

FAQ:
How do I do the same thing?
Bareboating is what it is called and is a very popular way to experience the boating lifestyle. It is available all over the world. What you see in the video is our take on bareboating in the Whitsundays, Australia.
When is the best time to go?
Anytime except Summer, as unintuitive as that sounds it just gets too hot in summer.
Where do I get the boat?
We got this boat from but there are many companies that you can get boats from, just shop around.
What boat is that?
Beneteau is the biggest manufacturer of boats in the world. The French are with boats what Mercedes is with cars. Here is the link to the boat:
Is this the best boat?
For us yes, we loved this boat, for you, it will depend on number of people etc. As the late Henry Ford said about a car, the best car is a new car, so our advice is to get a boat that is less than a year old. In the Whitsundays, you are spoilt for choice.
Do I need experience?
NO! The charter company will spend as much time with you as you need to make sure you are comfortable with the boat and everything that is involved. Our first time bareboating we spent a whole day with the briefing guy. This time around it was over in 1h.
Can I get a powerboat? I don't know how to sail.
A sailboat is a powerboat and a sailboat, you can get a sailboat and not even open the sails. And if after few days you want to try, just unfurl the front sail, there is very little trouble you can get into with the front sail.
Where do I get food from?
Provisioning, as bareboaties like to call it, can be either pre-organised or you can just go to the supermarket and buy a bunch of stuff, just like you would at home.
What about fresh water?
This is an interesting one, we used a quarter of the tank for one week, and we were having a shower every night. Of course, you can't have a 20min home shower so you just have to know it is limited. The best way to save water is whenever you open the tap open it half way. Worst case you sail back to the marina and fill up again, no biggie.

I have chosen my gear to be travel focused so size weight and the price was a big consideration, here is the list of my photo/video gear:
