Grand Prismatic Spring, Yellowstone National Park, USA in 4K (Ultra HD)
The Grand Prismatic Spring offers one of the most stunning views in the Yellowstone National Park. It is the largest pool in the park and the third in the world. It is located in the Midway Geyser Basin and its major feature is its amazing coloration, caused by bacteria, living on the edges of the mineral rich water. The pool is about 370 feet/113 m in diameter and is 121 feet/37 m deep. Several smaller springs are located in close proximity.
This video was shot from two locations: from the nearby hill at noon, and by the spring in the late afternoon.
Recorded September 2014 in 4K (Ultra HD) with Sony AX100.

Beryl Spring in Yellowstone National Park
Yellowstone National Park - Beryl Spring (2018)
Yellowstone National Park is an American national park located in Wyoming, Montana, and Idaho. It was established by the U.S. Congress and signed into law by President Ulysses S. Grant on March 1, 1872. Yellowstone was the first national park in the U.S. and is also widely held to be the first national park in the world. The park is known for its wildlife and its many geothermal features, especially Old Faithful geyser, one of its most popular features. It has many types of ecosystems, but the subalpine forest is the most abundant. It is part of the South Central Rockies forests ecoregion.
Native Americans have lived in the Yellowstone region for at least 11,000 years. Aside from visits by mountain men during the early-to-mid-19th century, organized exploration did not begin until the late 1860s. Management and control of the park originally fell under the jurisdiction of the Secretary of the Interior, the first being Columbus Delano. However, the U.S. Army was subsequently commissioned to oversee management of Yellowstone for a 30-year period between 1886 and 1916. In 1917, administration of the park was transferred to the National Park Service, which had been created the previous year. Hundreds of structures have been built and are protected for their architectural and historical significance, and researchers have examined more than a thousand archaeological sites.
Yellowstone National Park spans an area of 3,468.4 square miles (8,983 km2), comprising lakes, canyons, rivers and mountain ranges. Yellowstone Lake is one of the largest high-elevation lakes in North America and is centered over the Yellowstone Caldera, the largest supervolcano on the continent. The caldera is considered an active volcano. It has erupted with tremendous force several times in the last two million years. Half of the world's geysers and hydrothermal features are in Yellowstone, fueled by this ongoing volcanism. Lava flows and rocks from volcanic eruptions cover most of the land area of Yellowstone. The park is the centerpiece of the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem, the largest remaining nearly-intact ecosystem in the Earth's northern temperate zone. In 1978, Yellowstone was named a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Today we landed in Bozeman, Montana to start our trip. We spent the evening exploring Yellowstone National Park. We started by eating dinner at the Mammoth Hot Springs Lodge then went to the Mammoth Hot Springs Terraces (which were really amazing).
The next morning we woke up early so we could explore the Lamar Valley of Yellowstone National Park. We were able to see a lot of wildlife including Bison (Buffalo), Elk, chipmunks, Osprey, and More.
We then took an authentic stagecoach ride to a lunch picnic spot that was amazing. We also had a chance to see the Grand Canyon of Yellowstone and the Lower Falls which was a mind-blowing sight.
To end the day we arrived at Under Canvas which would be our home base for the next couple of days. This was our first experience with glamping and we had such a good time there.
And this was only our first full day! Follow along with our other videos from this amazing trip with Adventures By Disney.
From the website:
After our near miss when it came to catching our cruise ship to Alaska last month, we chose to fly in a day ahead of time for this adventure. Having been on an Adventures By Disney Danube River Cruise last year, we knew we wouldn't want to miss a single second of it. I'm so glad we did, too.
This way we were able to fly in (super short barely 2 hours non-stop flight from LAX to Bozeman, Montana) the afternoon before, get dinner, get some good rest and then meet the rest of the group back at the airport for the official start.
Rested and ready for the adventure to start, we joined the group and hopped on our tour bus. This is one of the many things that sets Adventures By Disney apart from other tours.
They take care of everything and there is never any wasted time waiting. As soon as our group was ready to go, we loaded right away. Cory, our bus driver, was with us the entire time we were traveling and was always seconds from where we were.
When there were stops along the way where there wasn't parking, it didn't matter to our group because Cory would drop us all up right up front to maximize our time and then he would magically appear when it was time to go!
Going into this vacation we were all extremely excited. We were excited about the places we would see and the things we would do, but we were even more excited about the whole Disney experience.

Emerald Spring
Geysers are hot springs that episodically erupt columns of water. They occur in few places on Earth. The highest concentration of geysers anywhere is at the Yellowstone Hotspot Volcano (northwestern Wyoming, USA).
Emerald Spring is located in the Back Basin of Yellowstone’s Norris Geyser Basin. The feature is about 10 by 12 meters in size. It is often an overflowing hot spring, but it can engage in long-duration, low to moderately low splashing eruptions. Larger eruptions were reported in the 1930s. Overflow water and eruption runoff water drains to the southwest, then west toward Tantalus Creek. The green coloration of Emerald Spring is from bluish-colored water and yellowish-colored elemental sulfur lining the floor of the hot spring.
