welcome on board of my YouTube channel PilotPatrick. Are you ready for departure in Brazil?
In this video I take you on my adventures through Rio de Janeiro. This May I spend my vacation at this destination which has always been on my bucket list. The city is full of viewpoints and I thought I share with you my highlights, like the Cristo, sugar loaf and even a helicopter flight. Not everything was running according schedule. Especially the weather was not that stable and I had to cope with a lot of clouds and rain.
Nevertheless I had a lot of sunny moments, which required the use
of sun protection. I teamed again with Eucerin to spread the awareness of using suncare. I share my three tips for proper protection to prevent sun-induced skin damages. More info about my favorite suncare products on:

Even with all the non-stop travel, our Passport Heavy crew never found ourselves in Rio De Janeiro Brazil…until now. And what an experience it was! A city bursting at the seams with culture, food, dope views, beautiful people, amazing beaches, plenty of activities and deep history, Rio De Janeiro sure is a city worth experiencing.
We were naturally on edge after hearing all the stories of how dangerous parts of Rio De Janeiro are, but similarly to Chicago or New York, the danger is a bit overhyped. There may be dangerous parts in the city, but believing the city is dangerous takes away from all the other amazing experiences in the city.

A daredevil police officer took a stunning wingsuit flight above the beautiful beaches of Rio de Janeiro.
Rio resident Gabriel Lott, 40, took flight on March 8 with friend Francisco Caus from the Barra da Tijuca area of the city.
The brave Rio Special Forces Police Officer got to soak up all of Rio's bustling beauty in one go from a perfect bird's eye view.
Soaring through the blue skies, Gabriel had a perfect view of all the top spots, including Copacabana beach, Sugar Loaf Mountain and even world wonder, Christ The Redeemer.

Rio De Janeiro Travel Film [4K]
Rio has always been at the top of my bucket list ever since I started traveling. Its obvious why, with the cities naturally beautiful mountainous terrain and white sand beaches. For a while I've heard negative things about this city and how unsafe it was for tourists (especially ones who don't speak Portuguese) so that deterred me from heading south and exploring for myself. With that said im so happy that I finally went, like anywhere in the world there are places in the safest cities you just don't go wander into. The same applies for Rio, its a gorgeous city with vibrant and friendly locals. Exploring Rio De Janeiro was a dream for me and Anna, and having a best friend fly in only makes the trip even better! Moral of this short story is don't let he said she said scare you. Always be smart be safe and never stop exploring!

Most of the tourists and Cariocas (Rio de Janeiro, Brazil residents) congregate from just east of the famous Copacabana Palace Hotel at Posto 2, down to about Posto 5 and, In front of the Copacabana Palace Hotel, is the well established gay section of the beach. It's marked by the rainbow flag and is a hive of activity on sunny days. The most popular sport on this beach is soccer, and you can find games being played every few hundred yards throughout the day into the early evening. Avenida Nossa Senhora de Copacabana.

World's most scenic airport approach! Rio de Janeiro Santos Dumont
Watch one of the best and most scenic landing approaches in the world at Santos Dumont Airport in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
Flight from São Paulo Guarulhos Airport (GRU) to Rio de Janeiro Santos Dumont (SDU) on PR-GVX a Boeing 737-800 delivered to GOL in June, 2013.
The approach to this airport is called rabo de vaca (cow tail) due to the shape described by the landing path. This might be one of the best landing approaches in the world.
SDU has two short runways (02-20) of 1323 and 1260 m.
In this video you will see during the approach the Maracanã Stadium, Cristo Redentor (Christ the Redeemer), lots of favelas, the Pão de Açúcar (Sugar Loaf) and Ponte Niteroi (Niteroi Bridge).
Check out the hard braking after touch down. In order to operate at this airport fully loaded, Boeing had to increase the performance of the 737-800. That included a two-position tail skid that enables reduced approach speeds, sealed leading-edge slats that provide increased lift during takeoff, and increased flight spoiler deflection on the ground that improves take-off and landing performance.
Airbus has to adapt the A320 to be able to operate at full load at this
airport. So far, the airlines can only operate here with A319 or A318 and E190/195. That means that they are losing passengers to GOL, which flies with an airplane capable of carrying 177 passengers.
My seat is 22F. I chose to be on the right side in order to have a better view of the beautiful beaches and islands of the states of São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro. This is a scenic flight actually. The scenery is amazing.
