I took a tour around the Yiwu Industrial Trade City - the largest wholesale market in the world. People come here from every country to buy goods to export. 5.5 million square meters, 7km long, this market is beyond giant. And it's all one interconnected building. I explored it for a day with Collin Abroadcast, a fellow market fanatic. From Christmas decorations to children's toys to hardware and tools, we found a bunch of stuff that blew our minds.

Shopping Street Beijing Road Pedestrian Street Guangzhou China
Beijing Lu Pedestrian Street, This is the main shopping thoroughfare, a pedestrian street where most stores are open from 9AM-10PM. It has absolutely everything; cheap clothes, good food and even a little history. There is a display of the original road from the song dynasty (960 – 1279 A.D).
In the center of the street you will see two underground archeological sites showing that this road has existed here for nearly a thousand years. Coke must have struck a good deal with Guangzhou’s municipal authorities because the pair of underground sites are sponsored by the American soda icon. Just in case you overlook that fact on the accompanying bronze plaque, then you can’t miss the Coca Cola logo that appears on almost every other glass panel which peers below into a pit with remnants of the Song and Ming dynasty roads on display. Permanently stationed between the two historical sites is the convenient Coca Cola Trolley, peddling the traditional glass bottles of what Chinese people not too long ago believed was a strange elixir that tasted like some awful western medicine.
The Xinhua bookstore is a good place to buy a tourist atlas of China. This is really the only shop around here that I would recommend. You won’t find any bargains if you’re looking for cheap clothing or those popular fake brand name designer goods.
There is a wide range of stores available, from a large modern-style department store to stores selling the latest fashions for young people, to the ultra-cheap shacks hawking t-shirts, jewelry and knick-knacks…
When you walk down beijing lu you will see little alleys on the left and right. In there are many little shops where you can bargain. Designer clothes, bags, all the girls stuff and a bit of guy’s clothes. There is tons of guys selling fake watches there as well and they will follow you down the road for a bit trying to get you to look at their stuff.
You will get exhausted when you see all the things are real cheap, but 1 thing, you get what you paid for. The things are not so good quality if it is real cheap. But as for a lady we will still buy if when we see things are cheap , it doesn’t matter at least we will use it for a few times it you dont like it anymore you can give it to someone else , after all the things that you bought are cheap .
If you are staying in GuangZHou hotel or Landmark Hotel, it is a walking distance, just about 10 minutes walking from the hotel to the beijing lu Pedestrian Street.

10. Siam Paragon in Bangkok is one of the largest shopping malls in Thailand. It includes a wide range of specialty stores and restaurants as well as a multiplex movie theater, the Siam Ocean World aquarium, the Thai Art Gallery and an opera concert hall. It also has a large bowling alley and karaoke center.
9. Located in Kuala Lumpur, Berjaya Times Square is a twin tower complex containing a shopping center and two five star hotels. Cosmo’s World and Malaysia’s first-ever IMAX 2D & 3D theater which is located on the 10th Floor.

Teacher forces student to smash her phone for violating class rule
There was pin-drop silence in the classroom except the echoing sound of a student smashing her phone. She walked from one side of the class to another, throwing her phone multiple times until it cracked.
And that was her punishment for using the phone in class.
A teacher at a Dongguan city in Guangdong Province, demanded that the student break her phone for violating the class code of conduct.
The teacher, Mr. Jiang, is said to be known for being strict at the City College of Dongguan University of Technology’s department of finance. Before the incident, Mr. Jiang had stressed about a zero- tolerance cellphone policy in his class. If found using, the students had to either smash their phones or accept a 30-point deduction in the final grade. In Chinese colleges, that deduction could lead to ultimately failing a class.
And the teacher had threatened to fail her if she didn’t smash the phone, a witness told Guangzhou Daily newspaper.
The recent cellphone episode has struck chord with many social media users who practically live and thrive on their smartphones. While some have questioned the policy, others are debating if the teacher was too strict.
“Although the student was wrong playing on her mobile in class, it’s not right that the teacher threatened to fail her. Mobile phone is a student’s personal property. The teacher should have educated her in a right way,” wrote Weibo user @Qiaoyue-G.
“Would the student have played on her mobile phone had she enjoyed your class? And isn’t it a waste of resources smashing the phone? A teacher should focus his attention on delivering a good lecture and attract his students with content rather than forcing his students to pay attention by enforcing strict rules,” said @Good_luck.
“But I think if a teacher sets the rules and the consequences of violating them, the students should be responsible to bear the punishment, no matter how severe it is,” argued @Teamoyzd supporting the teacher.
“I think students should be banned from bringing mobiles to the classrooms. This is both good for the students themselves and the society’s development in the long run,” said @Zhangjiayong.
The college, however, decided that Mr. Jiang’s action was too extreme and has asked him to compensate for the student’s loss. The college also demanded the teacher to reflect on his teaching methods and educate his students in a more reasonable way.
And ironically, while the student was being punished for violating the cellphone rule, another student was capturing the entire drama on a cellphone.
