Bethuadahari Wildlife Sanctuary is situated in the Nakashipara area of Nadia District, West Bengal, India. The sanctuary is located beside National Highway 34. The sanctuary covers 67 hectares, and was established in 1980 to preserve a portion of the central Gangetic alluvial ecozone.
The sanctuary has a large population of spotted deer (chital), jackal, Bengal fox, porcupine, and common langur. Bird species include parakeets, Indian cuckoos, barbets and other smaller birds, while reptiles and amphibians include pythons, monitor lizards and gharials, a type of small crocodile.
As of the 1995 census, it had 297 chital deer.
Among the trees found within the sanctuary are shal, teak, arjun, Indian rosewood, and bamboo.

West Bengal Tourist Lodge (Government of West Bengal) (This lodge is in the forest sanctuary and directions for reaching the place would be available at the time of booking). The only way to book a stay in advance at this lodge is through the booking office of the West Bengal Forest Development Corporation in Kolkata, at 6/A, Raja Subodh Mallick Square, 7th floor, Kolkata, and one can get more information by calling their Kolkata number: 033-22370061/62. Booking starts three months in advance against full payment. ₹1,200 per day for a double-bedded room.

Chintamoni Kar Bird Sanctuary (CKBS) (Narendrapur, 24Pgs (South), West Bengal, India) situated at south Kolkata and near Narendrapur Ramkrishna Mission. This is also known as Kayal-r Bagan. This garden is famous for availability of wide variety of birds, butterflies, ferns and orchids.
This is an abhay aranya, or sanctuary, originally given the status in 1982. The government of West Bengal took the initiative to make it open to the public and acquired it from private owners in October 2005. The area was notified as Narendrapur Wildlife Sanctuary vide G O No.3019-FOR dated 8 September 2004. It was later renamed as Chintamani Kar Bird Sanctuary vide G.O No.4300-FOR/FR/O/L/6C-3/04 dated 21 October 2005. This was an honour to celebrated sculptor Chintamoni Kar, who had for many years fought relentlessly to gain the status kayaler bagan for the sanctuary.
The nearest popular place, Narendrapur, is 15 km from Sealdah on the Sealdah – Sonarpur section and is part of the Kolkata Suburban Railway system. It is connected by road to Garia and the EM Bypass. It is 20 km from howrah railway station.
Route 1: From Howrah Station Need to take Garia(S-5,S-6,AS-5,AC6) / Narendrapur Bound Buses. Those will take Garia Bound Buses,they need to take Auto For location Narendrapur Rathtala . From The stop They need to Take 300m walk, & they Will Reach The Destination.

Reserve Forest at Nadia/West Bengal
নদিয়া জেলার একটি পর্যটকপ্রিয় অভয়ারণ্য বেথুয়াডহরি।
বেথুয়াডহরি সংরক্ষিত অভয়ারণ্য ৬৭ হেক্টরের বনভূমি --- কলকাতা থেকে ১৩০ কিলোমিটার দূরে, উত্তরবঙ্গগামী ৩৪ নম্বর জাতীয় সড়কের বাঁ দিকে। এখানে নাকি বেথো (বেথুয়া) শাকের জলাভূমি (ডহর) ছিল। তা থেকেই নাম বেথুয়াডহরি।
সংরক্ষিত বনের ফটক দিয়ে ঢুকতেই প্রকৃতিবীক্ষণ কেন্দ্র, দ্বিজেন্দ্রলাল রায়ের নামে নামাঙ্কিত। শাল, সেগুন, মেহগনি আর অর্জুনের মতো পরিচিত গাছের জঙ্গলে গাঁ জড়াজড়ি করে মিশে আছে গাব, টুন, নাগকেশর, পিয়াশাল, হামজাম ইত্যাদি। এমনকী কবি জীবনানন্দের প্রিয় গাছ হিজলও আছে।
বনপথটি ইটবাঁধানো। পথের দু’ধারে বৃক্ষসারি যেন মাথায় ছাতা ধরে থাকে। বনপথ তাই ছায়াপথ। পথ সোজা নিয়ে আসে তিন রাস্তার মোড়ে – বাঁ দিকে ঘড়িয়াল পুকুর আর ডান দিকে কচ্ছপের পুকুর।
ঘড়িয়াল পুকুরের আবাসিক অনেকেই, নানা মাপের। কেউ কেউ ডাঙায় রোদ পোহায়, আবার কেউ কেউ জল থেকে মাথা বের করে রাখে শিকারের সন্ধানে। বেথুয়ার এই জঙ্গলে আছে চিতল হরিণ, শজারু, মেছোবিড়াল, বনবিড়াল, বুনো খরগোশ, বেজি, ভাম ইত্যাদি। আছে বিভিন্ন প্রজাতির সাপ, ময়ূর, বাজ, পেঁচাও। তা ছাড়া বেথুয়াডহরি বিখ্যাত তার বিভিন্ন প্রজাতির প্রজাপতির জন্য।
শিয়ালদহ থেকে সরাসরি ট্রেনে আসা যায় বেথুয়া। স্টেশন থেকে রিকশায় অভয়ারণ্যের ফটকে। জঙ্গলের ভিতরে বনবাংলোয় রাত কাটানো যায়। বেথুয়া বাজারেও অবশ্য থাকার হোটেল আছে। এ ছাড়া কৃষ্ণনগরে রাত কাটিয়ে ট্রেনে বা বাসে আসা যায় বেথুয়ায়।

Bibhutibhusan Wildlife Sanctuary (formerly Parmadan Forest) is an animal sanctuary in North 24 Parganas district in the Indian state of West Bengal.[1] The forest is located about 100 km from Kolkata and 25 km from Bongaon.
Situated on the banks of the Ichamati River covering an area of 0.68 km2 it has more than 200 deer, birds, rabbit and a large number of langurs.[2] It also has a children's park, a small zoo and a tourist lodge of the forest department. The nearest bus stop is at Naldugari on the 92 bus route (Bongaon-Helencha-Duttafulia Route).
Best time to visit
The forest can be visited throughout the year but it is better to avoid the forest during the rainy season as most of the parts are flooded during that monsoon months. The winters bring many birds to the forest. Hence winters months are the best time.
Places of interest [ What to do ]
The best thing to do is country boat ride through the forest or a refreshing jungle stroll watching the friendly deer prance around. The beautiful Ichamati River flows through this 92-hectare sanctuary in North 24-Parganas. The Parmadan Forest is a haven for a healthy population of nearly 250 deer. The best time to watch them is when they are fed by the Forest officials. Presently, their feeding time is at 4:00 pm and 9:00 am. You can visit Naldungri located nearby and visit Chuatiya – the border village between India and Bangladesh just an hour’s journey from Parmadan.
