The Betsy Ann Riverboat | Mississippi Gulf Coast
From the time you board the Betsy Ann Riverboat…. until the time you step off the boat, we promise you an experience that will create memories to last a lifetime. Come aboard… close your eyes… listen to the paddle slapping the water in perfect time… and let your mind wander! There is no better way to enjoy the beautiful waters and scenery of historic Biloxi Bay than on a true old-fashioned paddle wheel boat. Whether young or older, you will imagine a bygone era – when paddle wheelers were the modern marvel of their time – the days of Mark Twain. Come learn the history of the Betsy Ann, Mississippi Gulf Coast, Barrier Islands, and more. Come enjoy the peacefulness of just being on the water. See lots of playful dolphins and watch the brown pelican flying in formation just inches above the water or diving from the air to catch a fish. You can even come up in the pilot house with the captain, steer the boat and get your picture taken with the huge wheel.
The main cabin, accommodating up to 70, is heated and air conditioned for your comfort and sports a bar serving beer, soft drinks, and water. The upper deck is covered and open with bench style seating. Corporate meetings, weddings, birthdays, anniversaries, family reunions, Mardi Gras, or whatever you have in mind; we promise to make it a memorable and spectacular time. Our weddings are very unique, personalized, and incredible! We also have all the core decorations for your perfect day but you are welcome to add your own personal touch. You can even be married by the captain. The Betsy Ann is beautiful, the scenery is breathtaking, and the memories will last a lifetime. The Betsy Ann crew is dedicated to making sure you leave us with great memories. We cannot wait to entertain you on the BETSY ANN RIVERBOAT.
The Captain – Michael White was born and raised on the Mississippi Gulf Coast. He grew up exploring the Barrier Islands and sailing and fishing in the Mississippi Sound. After graduating high school at St Stanislaus, he joined the Navy. He wanted to drive the ship, but was forced to become an advanced electronics technician instead. After leaving the Navy, Michael joined Gateway Computers in its infancy. But the call of the ocean brought him back to Mississippi to pursue his true passion and goal of becoming a boat captain. He received his first masters license in 1996 and worked in the oil fields in the Gulf of Mexico. In 2004, Michael started Lucky Duck Amphibious Tours – a land and sea tour company in Biloxi. Unfortunately, eleven months into operation the Mississippi Gulf Coast was devastated by Hurricane Katrina. This forced him to return to working offshore. His love for entertaining and tourism again drove him to purchase the Betsy Ann Riverboat. -
