In this Episode of DJs BrewTube I am going Nort of the boarder again to review Nickel Brook Brewing Company Headstock IPA. Nickel Brook Brewing Company Headstock IPA as the name suggests an IPA and it clocks in at 6.8% ABV. Nickel Brook Brewing Company describes Headstock IPA as follows:
We admit it. We have a problem... We love our hops. We especially adore the amazing science of hops! As homage to our favourite wonders of nature, we present to you our award-winning Headstock IPA. The flowering humulus lupulus hop-cone provides us with the vital acids, essential oils and resins that permeate throughout our IPA. The result is a deliciously obscene wallop of tropical fruit, citrus and pine flavours and aromas any hop-head would gladly give a DNA sample for. We conclude that hop science is one tasty passion.
Anyway, enough pros. Hope you enjoy the video, my written review and report card follows:
Nickel Brook Brewing Company Headstock IPA WRITTEN REVIEW:
A: Nickel Brook Brewing Company Headstock IPA pours a hazy burnt orange color when held up to the light with an eggshell colored 1.5 finger head of tight bubbles. Some glass lacing and plenty alcohol legs were observed.
S: Lemon citrus zest, pine dankness, tropical fruits and over all around presence of hops up in your face. Gotta like that! No alcohol is detectable in the aroma.
T: Follows the nose. Juicy lemon citrus, piney / grassy dankness, tropical fruits especially peppery mango skin and over all hops up in your grill. Gotta like that! No alcohol is detectable in the taste at all.
M: Medium body that is well carbonated. Very smooth mouth feel and is a very easy to drink. Alcohol is undetectable.
O: Nickel Brook Brewing Company Headstock IPA is a quality representative of the IPA Style. It is a very drinkable brew that is put together how an IPA should be. Its not to malty and not too bitter, but aggressive at the same time. I like it and would gladly drink it again.
