Milwaukee is the largest city in the state of Wisconsin, US. The city is located in the southeastern portion of the state on the western shore of Lake Michigan.
Milwaukee is home to some of America's most instantly recognized corporations such as Miller Brewing and Harley Davidson. Harley holds an enormous celebration on every fifth anniversary attracting riders (and celebrity riders such a Jay Leno) by the millions to Milwaukee each time.
The Mitchell Park Conservatory has been part of the Milwaukee scene since the first conservatory was built in 1898. The original Milwaukee conservatory exhibited flowers in a greenhouse setting and served the public until 1955.
Nearly 105 years in the making, the Harley-Davidson Museum, located near downtown Milwaukee, opened its doors to the public on Saturday, July 12, 2008. The 130,000-square-foot Museum adds a new dimension to the Harley-Davidson experience.
Milwaukee Brewery, one of the worlds largest, sits on land originally purchased by Miller founder Frederick J. Miller in 1855. Some 800 employees work round-the-clock here, producing 10 million barrels of our leading brands every year.

Milwaukee is a city in the U.S. state of Wisconsin on Lake Michigan's western shore. It's known for its breweries, many of which offer tours chronicling its role in the beer industry. Overlooking the Menomonee River, the Harley-Davidson Museum displays classic motorcycles, including one of Elvis Presley’s. Nearby is the Milwaukee Public Museum, with its large-scale European Village and a recreation of old Milwaukee.
Milwaukee has historically been a major immigrant city. During the early 20th Century, German and Polish immigrants tended to dominate, and the city still strongly identifies with its German and, to a slightly lesser extent, Polish heritage. For part of the early 20th century German was even the main language of the city, and German names are still very common.
Milwaukee is home to some instantly recognized corporations such as Miller Brewing and Harley Davidson. Harley holds an enormous celebration on every fifth anniversary during Labor Day weekend attracting riders (and celebrity riders such as Jay Leno) by the millions to Milwaukee each time. The 115th anniversary was held in 2018.
Here’s the thing about Milwaukee: it’s cool, but for some reason it slips under the radar. The city’s reputation as a working man's town of brewskis, bowling alleys and polka halls still persists. But attractions like the Calatrava-designed art museum, badass Harley-Davidson Museum and stylish eating and shopping enclaves have turned Wisconsin's largest city into an unassumingly groovy place. In summertime, festivals let loose with revelry by the lake almost every weekend. And where else on the planet will you see racing sausages?
Getting around in Milwaukee is easy. Block numbers are consistent across the city, including most of the suburbs, starting roughly where the Milwaukee and Menominee rivers meet. All numbered streets run north-south, increasing in number as you head west from 1st Street. Most named streets go east-west.

WEEBLES Coast to Coast
Pack your bags for an exciting journey across the United States in WEEBLES Coast to Coast, a fun, educational traveling exhibit developed by the Betty Brinn Children's Museum in collaboration with Hasbro. Touched with humor, and loaded with more than 70 hands-on activities, the exhibit invites children to explore the geography, history and uniqueness of the 50 United States -- and Washington, D.C., too! Related books and art activities, songs, audio and video installations, and a computer kiosk filled with state symbols, facts, trivia and postcards from around the nation will engage and entertain visitors of all ages.
US Geography and Geology:
The Welcome Gallery highlights the six geographic regions featured in the exhibit and each state activity, and a collection of the United States Mint's 50 State Quarters. Murals featuring some of the nation's most beautiful coastal, mountain and prairie landscapes serve as the backdrop for state activities where children can learn about some of the most fascinating natural wonders in the country -- and the world -- as they pretend to hike to Old Faithful, ride a mule into the Grand Canyon, and search for WEEBLES hidden in the amazing formations at Arches National Park.
STEM Education:
Opportunities for children to explore science, technology, engineering and math are offered throughout the exhibit. Children can build a replica of the St. Louis Gateway Arch or use the Golden Gate Bridge as inspiration for their own design. In North Carolina, children can create simple experiments and explore aerodynamics as they learn about the Wright Brothers and their famous first flight. Puzzles and games throughout the exhibit provide wonderful opportunities to help build math and problem-solving skills.
Arts and Culture:
The exhibit offers a wide variety of visual, language and performing arts activities. Children can experiment with movement and music as they perform in a Tennessee washboard band, mix jazz in Louisiana, sample Motown music in Michigan, or try the hula in Hawaii. A pop art activity in Illinois is great fun for all ages and designing a quilt pattern in Arkansas showcases American folk art.
Physical Activity, American Pastimes and Role Play:
Kids can get active with a variety of physical challenges, including the opportunity to climb Mount Rainier, cross-country ski in Wisconsin, pedal a steamboat down the Mississippi, kayak in Idaho and more! Fun props, costumes and creative hands-on activities provide endless role-play opportunities that celebrate U.S. pastimes, sports and popular events. Children can join a pit crew at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway in Indiana, mush a sled dog team in Alaska, try for a field goal at the National Football Hall of Fame in Ohio, and count down on New Year's Eve in New York's Times Square.
