Beverley (Westwood and The Minster)
A very short video of where we are from, Beverley UK.
I love our town and am very proud to live here. I bought a new camera not long ago and thought i'd test it out, by filming one of my favourite places. There is a lot more to do than what I have shown and I highly recommend visiting.
Beverley has a ridiculous number of great pubs for it's size. I'll have to film a pub tour soon.

Beverley is a market town, civil parish and the county town of the East Riding of Yorkshire, England. The town is known for Beverley Minster, Beverley Westwood, North Bar and Beverley Racecourse. It inspired the naming of the cities of Beverly, Massachusetts, and Beverly Hills in California.
The town was originally known as Inderawuda and was founded around 700 AD by Saint John of Beverley during the time of the Anglian kingdom of Northumbria. After a period of Viking control, it passed to the Cerdic dynasty, a period during which it gained prominence in terms of religious importance in Great Britain. It continued to grow especially under the Normans when its trading industry was first established. A place of pilgrimage throughout the Middle Ages due to its founder, it eventually became a significant wool-trading town. Beverley was once the tenth-largest town in England, as well as one of the richest, because of its wool and the pilgrims who came to venerate its founding saint, John of Beverley. After the Reformation, the stature of Beverley was much reduced.
In the 20th century, Beverley was the administrative centre of the local government district of the Borough of Beverley (1974–1996). It is now the county town of the East Riding, located 8 miles (13 km) north-west of Hull, 10 miles (16 km) east of Market Weighton and 12 miles (19 km) west of Hornsea. As well as its racecourse and markets, Beverley is known in the modern day for hosting various food and music festivals throughout the year.
As a market town, the market day is central to culture in Beverley; a smaller market day is held on Wednesday: however the main event is on Saturday, with all of the stalls.
The town is served by Beverley railway station on the Hull to Scarborough Line, with services currently run by Northern and a limited service between Beverley and London King's Cross provided by Hull Trains. Before the mid 1960s, there was a direct York to Beverley Line via Market Weighton; the Minsters Rail Campaign is seeking to re open the closed line.

S'no more Snow - Beverley Westwood - 5th Mar, 2018
Flying on the Beverley Westwood again; but, this time, with my Parrot BeBop 2; there was no snow left (apart from a few very small patches), and, for the most part, it was a somewhat cloudy and dark day (but, with very little wind).
I made three flights, from two different take off points; for a total of just over 43 minutes flying time (using two batteries); and then combined (and cut down, a LOT), these three videos (using VideoPad), into this 6 minutes and 35 seconds video, for YouTube.
I mostly flew manually, but, did test some of the FreeFlight Pro 'AutoShots'; see if you can spot where I used 'Reveal', and 'Epic'.
Hope you Like the result (don't forget, to Comment & Subscribe)?

Welcome to Beverley
The stunning market town of Beverley has beauty in abundance. With an awe-inspiring Minster, historical buildings, cobbled streets, and small town charm, there is something for everyone.
Beverley has an up market shopping experience amongst cobbled streets and charming courtyards and has many high street names. In addition there is an interesting selection of smaller independent shops, an antique arcade and the Saturday market is delightful for a weekend browse.
The North Bar part of town has architecturally fascinating streets, divided by the 15th Century North Bar and contains a great number of listed buildings, and a wide variety of shops. Flemingate, East Yorkshire's newest retail and leisure destination, is home to Debenhams and other high street retailers, a six-screen Parkway cinema, and 500 space multi storey car park.
The town centre and surrounding streets are bordered by cosmopolitan pavement cafes, quirky cafes, cosy coffee shops and fine dining restaurants.

The Monks Walk Pub (Beverley, East Yorkshire)
Join us as we give you a short trip round The Monks Walk Pub in Beverley. It was so old fashioned and comfortable. It had a great nice old British pub atmosphere. We took the train to visit Beverley and it was the first time we went into The Monks Walk Pub and will be certainly going in again. If you love old style traditional pubs then this one is certainly for you! The 2 Acorn Brewery Ales I purchased from the pub we both nice and served well.
