My local beer ~Severn Valley Aleway~
Bewdley Brewery:
Severn Valley Railway:
This beer is brewed to mark the Golden Jubilee year of the Severn Valley Railway, 1965-2015.
Tasty hoppy beer for summer.
It's so refreshing and is great with fatty food like fish and chips, curry, pizza, BBQ, etc, all British favourite dishes.
Alc 4.3%
I forgot to mention it but I guess the beer is available at Severn Valley Railway Kidderminster and Bridgnorth stations. Not sure but I think it is.

Bedcote & 1st Sedgley Morris at the Britannia, Upper Gornal (26/07/2012)
A traditional Morris Dancing display at the back of the Britannia pub, Upper Gornal in July 2012. Morris dancing has become something of a rarity in urban surroundings, so it was good to see this display in the Black Country. Bedcote Morris are sponsored by Bathams Brewery, whose pub the Britannia is.

Moores Guy Arab IV (5LW) 373 WPU en route from Tiptree
Come with me aboard the very musical vintage 1961 Moores of Kelvedon Guy Arab IV (5LW) / Massey lowbridge 373 WPU taking part in the 200th anniversary running day to celebrate the founding of Moores back in 1815.
The Moores Guy Arab IV 373 WPU only made one return trip back to Tiptree, home to the famous Tiptree jam, and in part 2 we continue on our way to Tiptree, make a relatively quiet (passenger-wise) journey, allowing the rich gearbox notes to be enjoyed without hinderance.
This bus is very rare, having a small 5-cylinder Gardner 5LW engine combined with 30ft long (Massey) bodywork.
With quite tricky David Brown constant-mesh gearbox, its gearbox notes in 1st, 2nd and 3rd gears are very musical indeed, with a sound like no other traditional half cab bus.
I hope you enjoy my film here, intended to enable you to share the 'music' aboard this rare and lovely bus.
With grateful thanks to owners Arnie Brown and Dave Tucker, and in memory of the late Joe Long, who saved this bus for preservation and restored it from battered NBC green/white to its original Moores deep green/cream livery once again.

Pick-up Goods - Part 2
This is the second part of the Pick-up Goods sequence of videos that follow a lengthy goods train around the layout as it drops off and, also, picks up assorted wagons and tankers at various locations.
In this video we see the train arrive at Pertersfield, its first destination after leaving Sueston. It arrives at Platform 3 where it drops off two ventilated vans bound for the brewery siding.
The train then continues to cross over to the down main line where it reverses into Platform 1. Here, the three oil tank wagons now at the back of the train will be uncoupled.
While this is taking place, a Class 20 reverses out of the brewery siding and couples up to the two vans left behind at Platform 3.
With the oil tankers now detached, the rest of the goods train departs and continues its journey north.
A Class 08, previously waiting on the up line, now crosses over to the down line and couples up to the tankers at Platform 1.
The Class 20, meanwhile, shunts the two vans into the brewery siding where they will, no doubt, be duly filled with many barrels of fine ale!
A south-bound stopping train, hauled by a Class 23, now arrives at Platform 2 after which the Gronk gets right-away to proceed with its tankers to the diesel servicing depot.
Immediately after that the Baby Deltic is also given the green light to continue its journey to Sueston before, finally, we see the 08 arrive at the diesel depot with its train of oil tankers.
FAREWELL 4566, YOU LITTLE BEAUTY!
One of the most popular engines on the Severn Valley Railway in recent years has been Churchward Small Prairie Tank No. 4566. Built in 1924, it is due to be withdrawn on January 2nd 2017 with an expired boiler certificate and here we see her in action during the last few years of current service. Us older ones can't help but ask ourselves if we will see her in steam again. Pannier Tank 7714 has just entered service and will presumably take over the services that 4566 has vacated. All scenes were shot on the SVR apart from one which was filmed on a visit to The Great Central Railway. Incidentally, the penultimate sequence overlooking Bewdley Safari Park seems to be heavily populated with insects. In fact they are seeds which have been powerfully ejected from the pods on what was, for England, a very hot day.
P.S. The last day in service of 4566 can be seen at:
