Bromley is a district of south east London, England, located 9.3 miles south east of Charing Cross. Bromley is the administrative headquarters of the London Borough of Bromley, and identified as a major metropolitan centre in the London Plan.
Bromley was historically a market town chartered since 1158 and an ancient parish in the county of Kent. Its location on a coaching route and the opening of a railway station in 1858 were key to its development, and the economic history of Bromley is underpinned by a shift from an agrarian village to commerce and retail. As part of the suburban growth of London in the 20th century, Bromley significantly increased in population and was incorporated as a municipal borough in 1903.
Bromley has developed into one of a handful of regionally significant commercial and retail districts outside central London and has formed part of Greater London since 1965. Most of Bromley including the town centre falls under the BR1 postcode district, whereas areas to the west towards Shortlands are part of BR2 instead.
Bromley is located 9.3 miles (15 km) south east of Charing Cross and is one of the major metropolitan centres identified in the London Plan. Bromley is a post town in the BR postcode area, consisting of BR1 and part of the BR2 postcode district. BR1 covers Bromley, Bickley, Sundridge Park and part of Downham; and the BR2 portion covers Hayes, Shortlands, Bickley and Bromley Common.

Bexleyheath
A song written about my home town, oh how I love it.

Lyrics:
We all read the sun
Laughing at the puns
We all think we're number one
Bexleyheath is full of scum
Every Street rat has a gun.
All the single mums
Under 21
Driving round the Dartford one
Bexleyheath is full of scum
Every street rat has a gun
Bexleyheeeeeeaaathhh..
What a sluuuuuuummmmm...
Halford stereo's
Attracting little hoes,
Stroppy little teenage cows,
Bexleyheath is full of scum,
Every street rat has a gun
Bexleyheaths a bore,
Nothing I adore,
Really really wanna go,
Bexleyheath is full of scum,
Every street rat has a gun
Bexleyheeeeaathhh.....
What a sluuuummmmm....
Bexleyheath Bexleyheath
What a sluuuummm...

Do you know that Bluewater Shopping Centre (commonly referred to as Bluewater) is an out-of-town shopping centre in Stone (postally Greenhithe), Kent, England, outside the M25 Orbital motorway, 17.8 miles (28.6 km) east south-east of London's centre. Opened on 16 March 1999 in a former chalk quarry after ten years of building works, the site including car parks occupies 240 acres (97 ha) and has a sales floor area of 154,000 m2 (1,600,000 ft2) over three levels, making it the fifth-largest shopping centre in the UK (after Westfield London, MetroCentre, Trafford Centre and Westfield Stratford City). Elsewhere in Europe only Istanbul's Cevahir Mall and Vienna's (Vösendorf) Shopping City Süd are bigger. The floor plan is a triangular shape with 330 stores, including 3 anchors, 40 cafés and restaurants, and a 17-screen cinema. The centre employs 7,000 people and serves over 27 million visitors a year. A main rival is the Lakeside Shopping Centre and its two retail parks by road 8 miles (13 km) away in West Thurrock, Essex, just across the River Thames or 3.2 miles (5.1 km) point-to-point.

GAME to close 40 shops in the UK due to ‘challenging retail market’ - Latest News

Videos can use content-based copyright law contains reasonable use Fair Use ( The UK’s biggest video game retail chain is to close 40 of its 300+ stores, including sites in Watford, Leicester, and Glasgow. In not the most surprising news ever, GAME has announced it will close dozens of stores in the UK, with 13 sites already having had notice served. GAME hasn’t offered a complete list yet but the stores in Mansfield, Canterbury, Watford, Glasgow Fort, and Leicester are all confirmed to be closing. Derby, Norwich Chapelfield, Lakeside, Bexleyheath, and Carmarthen have also been served notice and are amongst 14 sites owned by property firms Intu and NewRiver. ‘We are working closely with landlords throughout the UK to ensure that we do not have to vacate the 40 locations which could lead to a number of job losses. However, we are facing a challenging retail market and GAME with its extensive retail footprint, needs to restructure and landlords need to work with us in setting realistic, fair rents’, said a GAME spokesperson. Whether that means the closures might not be permeant is unclear, but like many retailers the cost of rent has been the deciding factor in whether they can afford to keep bricks ‘n’ mortar stores going. As digital downloads increasingly take over from physical sales it’s a problem that’s also been suffered by US chain GameStop, whose future has frequently been brought into question. The end of a generation, when sales of new consoles begin to slow, is a particularly difficult time for video game stores and GAME will no doubt be hoping they can hold on till the end of the year, when sales of the next generation consoles should offer a boost.
