Crossing Borders: into the WEST BANK in Israel
We crossed the border between Israel and the West Bank with the intention of visiting Palestinian territory. In this video you can see how we drive through one of the most controlled borders in the world. The video shows several interesting places in the Palestinian territories: the Aida Camp - a Palestinian refugee camp, Bethlehem, the infamous Israeli West Bank barrier or wall and we end up in the Walled Off hotel, the only hotel in the world that has views to a Wall 3 meters away.

A HUGE BORDER WALL, THE BANKSY HOTEL, THE DEAD SEA, AND MORE IN PALESTINE (short doc) | DamonAndJo
I grew up learning that if you want to have a nice conversation, avoid religion and politics - but since I’ve arrived in the Middle East, that’s completely thrown out of the window in this 29-minute video all about religion and politics. Ok, let’s be real, I did dive into the Tinder scene in Palestine, as well as what they’re watching on Netflix. I also had approximately 500 questions for all of my taxi drivers…and I think I got them all answered in this video too.

Zahi Shaked A tour guide in Israel and his camera zahigo25@walla.com +972-54-6905522 tel סיור עם מורה הדרך ומדריך הטיולים צחי שקד 0546905522
My name is Zahi Shaked
In 2000 I became a registered liscenced tourist guide.
My dedication in life is to pass on the ancient history of the Holy Land.
Following upon many years of travel around the world, which was highlighted by a very exciting emotional and soul-searching meeting with the Dalai Lama, I realized that I had a mission. To pass on the the history of the Holy Land, its religions, and in particular, the birth and development of Christianity.
In order to fulfill this calling in the best way possible, I studied in depth, visited, and personally experienced each and every important site of the ancient Christians. I studied for and received my first bachelors degree in the ancient history of the Holy Land, and am presently completing my studies for my second degree.(Masters)
Parralel to my studies, and in order to earn a living, I was employed for many years in advertising. What I learned there was how to attract the publics attention, generate and, increase interest, and assimilate information. All this I use as tools to describe, explain and deepen the interest in the sites that we visit. From my experience, I have learned that in this way, the Holy Land becomes more than just history, and that the large stones that we see scattered about in dissaray, join together one by one until they become - a Byzantine Church. This also happens when I lead a group of Pilgrims in the Steps of Jesus. We climb to the peak of Mount Precipice, glide over the land to the Sea of Galilee, land on the water and see the miracle which enfolds before us. This is a many faceted experience. Not only history which you will remember and cherish, but an experience which I hope will be inplanted in your hearts and minds, and will accompany you all the days of your life.
Life in Palestine
In January 2019, two professors, in collaboration with the Art and Media Unit of the Lajee Center, ran a 3-day digital filmmaking workshop and screening for students in the Aida Refugee Camp in Bethlehem, Palestine. This is the the film the students produced, called Life in Palestine.
The workshop held a double mission: to teach how to use a camera and to turn weakness into strength. In this kind of situation, the camera is powerful. This workshop allowed the students to position themselves as critical thinkers and to step back from their situation.
Watching the film, you learn more about the lives of Palestinian refugee children. The students, each between 12 and 17 years old, all from different original villages, chose to speak about being affected by bombs, arrests, rubbers bullets, tear gas and weapons, in their houses, or just playing soccer.
In Palestine, no matter what is the ‘weapon’ of choice – whether voice, pen or camera – there is a price to be paid for its use. Without them – who are the future generation? If there is no struggle, no progress can be made.

Israeli soldiers arrest European tourists. Palestine, Bethlehem, Beit Sahour. 31/03/2010
European tourists were arrested by Israeli soldiers in area A, according to the Oslo Agreement this area must be in the control of the Palestinian Authority. This happened during a tour with ATG Alternative Tourism Group Palestinian NGO that organises political and cultural tours in the Palestinian Occupied Territories. The group of English tourists, close to the illegal Israeli settlement of Har Homa, were following the Palestinian tour guide in Beit Sahours Municipality fields. Suddenly Israeli soldiers pass through the fence and run after the group, that in the same moment try to move from the area. The orders from the Israeli soldiers are to arrest two English men that look like Arab people. Part of the group - 6 English people, one Swedish person, and one Italian woman, who is a volunteer in ATG - that support the two men, is all arrested. The tourists stay for more than one hour in the buffer zone and after this, they are moved inside the Gilo checkpoint in Bethlehem, where they are kept for a long time. The respective Consulates are informed. After some time, without any explications, the group is released. After a few days, in Sheikh Jarrah (east of Jerusalem) 2 French tourists are arrested by Israeli soldiers and they spend one night in jail.

WE WENT TO PALESTINE ????????// VLOG 10
#Palestine #Jerusalem #Israel
We crossed into Palestine from Israel to visit the city of Bethlehem, the supposed birthplace of Jesus. Our driver, a local Palestinian man, told us about the plight of the Palestinians, and their struggles with the Israeli army. He then took us to the see the Israeli West Bank barrier, a wall which separates the West Bank from Jerusalem. We returned to Israel in the night after visiting the Banksy Museum.
Our perception of Palestine, a place of terrorism and violence (what we see in the media) was totally changed in the half day we spent there. The people were friendly, the city beautiful and the food delicious! We highly recommend it to anyone visiting the middle east.
Then, we spent 2 days exploring the old city of Jerusalem.

Israel A Country Fenced In: Gaza & Ramallah Borders Exposed 2012
Grab your seat on The United West tour as we visit the Ramallah & TulKarm border crossing checkpoints with Israel. We also visit the Gaza Israeli border with expert analysis from Marc Kahlberg's first hand experience at one of world's most important flash points.
Learn first hand why as Marc Khalberg says, Israel is a country fenced in
You will not only see, but will also learn why the walls had to be constructed in the first place. The Walls had to be erected to stop sniper fire from the Palestinian areas along the few major highways throughout the tiny state of Israel.
At Israel's narrowest point, the country is only 14 miles across.
Next we go to the Gaza / Israel border where we overlook Gaza City - from a safe distance.
We learn that Israel supplies Gaza with fresh drinking water and electricity - you will see the actual reservoirs. You will learn that Gaza has some of the most beautiful beaches in the world but Hamas chooses to fire rockets and mortars into Israel rather than build up their tourism industry.
You will learn that: Israel Is A Country Fenced In

PALESTINE | The 14-year-old Palestinian girl who confronted the Israeli Army
Ahed Tamini is a 14-year-old Palestinian girl who lives in the village of Nabi Saleh, in the occupied Palestinian territories. She is in ninth grade. This is the girl who two years ago stood up to Israeli soldiers, shaking her fist at one of them after she learned they had arrested her brother. She is a passionate lover of football and an unconditional fan of Neymar Jr - she and her cousin Jana baked him a strawberry cake for his birthday.

Palestinian Security Forces and IDF Mistakenly Clash

THE RUNDOWN | Palestinian security forces clashed with the IDF after the IDF had mistook them for terror operatives in the West Bank. Our Jonathan Regev has the story.
Story:
Two Palestinian security personnel were injured in gunfire exchange with Israel Defense Forces (IDF) in the West Bank city of Nablus early Tuesday morning, according to local Palestinian media.
Israeli forces surrounded the headquarters of the Palestinian Authority’s Preventive Security Service as they were conducting routine overnight arrests in the West Bank.
IDF said fire broke out as troops were apprehending terror operatives and mistakenly identified Palestinian security forces as suspects.
Overnight, during an operational activity of IDF troops to apprehend terror operatives in the city of Nablus, fire was exchanged between IDF troops and a group of armed men who were identified by the troops as suspects, the IDF said in a statement several hours later.
In retrospect, the men were Palestinian security forces, it added, saying that the incident would be further reviewed. There were no casualties on the Israeli side.
The Palestinian governor of Nablus, Ibrahim Ramadan, said that two members of the Palestinian security forces were lightly wounded in the incident in the early hours of the morning adjacent to their headquarters.
Where is the headquarters? It is in central Nablus, he said outside the facility, where a number of windows were shattered. What is the Israeli army doing in Nablus? What are they doing near the headquarters? There was no coordination on this matter, he said.
This is unacceptable.
According to Palestinian media, while performing a tour of the headquarters area, the Palestinian Preventive Security operatives came across a vehicle suspected to belong to Israeli forces.
As they approached, the IDF opened fire at the Palestinian security forces, leading to an exchange of fire that continued for over an hour.
Under the Oslo peace accords between Israel and the Palestinians, Nablus, in the northern West Bank, is designated as being under full Palestinian security and administrative rule.
But as in other ostensibly autonomous Palestinian areas, Israel regularly sends its forces in whenever it deems it necessary for Israeli security.
