Lambikstoempers Beer Tasting Event.

Every August in Beersel (Alsemberg ) Belgium for a weekend you can go and try exclusive, limited, and standard beers.

De Lambikestoempers is an association created by beer lovers who wanted to share their love of good beer.

I am a self proclaimed Beer Mistress and so of course I had to attend this event.

It was a fun thing to do in Belgium. I got to try beer and meet new people. It is an interesting thing to do in Belgium.


If you love beer, and want an opportunity to try it, this beer tasting is Beer Mistress approved, and comes highly recommended.

This isn't an event just for Belgian Beers, no there were many international beers as well. Although this event is for Lambic beers.

This is a promo from the movie that you can see in the movie theater of visitor centre called 'De Lambiek'. This centre is an initiative of the municipality Beersel in cooperation with Tourism Vlaanderen, Tourism Vlaams-Brabant and the High Council for Artisanal Lambic Beers (HORAL).
In the centre the visitor is surrounded by the tastes, smells, sounds and texture of Lambic beers. The centre will surprise you with its collection of exhibits located in an accessible, spacious, and comfortable infrastructure.
From here you will discover the world of Lambic, its breweries, Gueuze blenders and the local region.
Lambic beer is a spontaneous fermenting beer, which is then aged in wooden barrels.
The spontaneous fermentation process is a speciality of the Senne valley and Pajottenland.
Lambic beer is the basis of the old Gueuze and old Kriek beers famous for their typical sour taste.
