Holy Land Tour of all the Major Bible Sites of Israel with Lovely Music and Narration
See the highlights of all the biblical sites in Israel in a peaceful, relaxing setting! Tour the Holy Land and see places like, Jerusalem, Sea of Galilee, Jordan Valley, Masada, Capernaum, and more.
Israel . . . Land of the Bible . . . Land of Faith . . . the Holy Land, revered throughout recorded history as the cradle of monotheistic religion. For a person of faith whose beliefs are rooted in the Bible, there is no place on earth like the Holy Land. In this narrow strip of land lies the source of religious belief of much of mankind. Here, amongst the barren hills and fertile plains, man’s spirit learned to soar and from here a new message went out to all the world: “. . . and many peoples shall come, and say, “Come, let us go up to the Mountain of the Lord, to the House of the God of Jacob; that He may teach us His ways and that we may walk in His paths. For out of Zion (Hill next to Jerusalem) will go forth the law, and the word of the Lord from Jerusalem (Isaiah 2:3,4).
The unique factor about the Holy Land is its special location in the World. Situated as it is, straddling the divide between Africa and Asia, the area has almost always been a battleground. Wave after wave of conquerors poured into it, anxious to control the strategic trade routes linking the centers of the ancient world. It’s not by accident that it’s virtually in the center of the world. In God’s master plan of creation, He decided to place Israel exactly in the center of His creation. Located on a tiny land bridge between Africa and Asia, there is no other way to get between the two of them except through Israel. It’s located on the crossroads of the world. Whoever wanted to trade between the two continents, or control the known world, had to conquer and control Israel. For this reason, there have been more wars and events that have taken place in Israel than any other country on earth. God positioned Israel in its unique location in order to influence the world and be on “Center Stage” so all of creation would know that He alone is God.
For nearly 2,000 years, Christian visitors from all over the world have come to the Holy Land, the land of their spiritual heritage. With Bible in hand, they have walked the places Jesus walked and prayed in the places He preached and prayed. For Christians, Israel is a place like no other. It provides them a one of a kind opportunity to experience the land of the Bible, to deepen their faith, and to be spiritually transformed for a lifetime.

Display in the Bible Lands Museum in Jerusalem
Finds Gone Astray, an exhibition of archeological material retrieved from thieves and unauthorized antiquities dealers in Judea and Samaria went on display December 30 at the Bible Lands Museum in Jerusalem.
The exhibition is the result of the cooperation between the Bible Lands Museum Jerusalem and the Israel Staff Officer of archeology in the Civil Administration Unit that works to preserve Judea and Samaria antiquities while minimizing their damage and theft.
During their work of registration and preservation of the confiscated archeological pieces, the unit noticed that some of the findings are particularly interesting and decided they should be displayed to the public and to the researchers.
In 2013 the Unit and the Bible Lands Museum decided to choose the most interesting findings among the 40 thousand artifacts found between 1968 and the present day and put them on display.
Along with the exhibition, the Unit also worked on the first volume in a new series of publications cataloguing 134 artifacts that went through a laborious process of documentation, photography, registration, laboratory cleaning, preservation, restoration and scientific testing to determine the age and origin of each item, and preserve their scientific value for generations to come.
The catalog was released together with the opening of the exhibition.
The entire collection of confiscated items includes pottery and stone vessels, figurines, clay tablets bearing inscriptions, coins, incantation bowls and more, constituting an assemblage of great importance to the understanding of the history of the ancient Near East.
Some of the finds originated from other parts of the Middle East and were smuggled into the region, while others were illegally excavated using tools and methods, often causing irreversible damage to archaeological sites of enormous local historical significance. Hours of intensive detective work including patient surveillance, carefully-planned ambushes, and nightly observations led to successfully intercepting the thieves and retrieving these priceless artifacts.
For Amanda Weiss, Director of the Bible Lands Museum Jerusalem, the importance and uniqueness of the exhibition is not only to shed light on another part of the history of the region but also to create public awareness of the importance of protecting archeological sites.
“The primary goal of the Museum is to present the vital history of our region, the crossroads of the ancient world, through innovative exhibitions and programming,” Weiss said. “Finds Gone Astray is a unique opportunity to shed light on the importance of preserving the history of our region and protecting our ancient sites. We welcome this partnership with the Civil Administration Officer of the Archaeological Staff Unit, and are proud to host the exhibition and launch of the publication to help increase public awareness to the jeopardy in which our heritage is in these objects are witnesses to history and link the generations in the universal story of the development of humankind.”
Hananya Hezmi , Head Staff Officer of Archaeology Department of the Civil Administration in Judea and Samaria said that his unit spends most of the time dealing with the enforcement and the consequences of looting and smuggling archeological antiquities, rather than developing new sites and overseeing excavations.
“Theft and destruction of antiquities is a widespread phenomenon that crosses borders for a range of reasons. In Judea and Samaria specifically, there is rampant destruction of ancient sites caused by preparations for cultivating or building on the land,” Hezmi said. “The methods used by the antiquities looters to uncover and expose the findings are brutal, causing irreversible damage to both sites and the findings and clearly harming academic research. We will continue to do everything in our power and invest the necessary resources in order to stop the damage to our shared culture and history.”

We said ''''''''one custom and different forms''''''''. The reason is the story of the Jewish people: since the destruction of the Temple, Jews lived in different places all over the world and they got their inspiration to their ceremonial art from the surrounding company, the surrounding art. So in Eastern lands, in Islamic lands, they adopted the floral or geometrical motives that (is) typical to Islamic art. In Western Europe they adopted the styles and motives that are typical to the objects of the Christian''''''''s art.

Exploring Tel-Aviv: Eretz Israel Museum / מוזיאון ארץ ישראל
******Available in HD******
Hi, everybody!
Today we'll have a small history of art/history lesson, visiting Eretz Israel Museum in Tel-Aviv, Israel.
I didn't manage to go through everything there as this museum is pretty big, but I'll try to show you the most interesting bits,
I really like the Glass Pavilion there:
The Eretz Israel Glass Pavilion takes visitors on a unique journey through time, traveling back thousands of years to the earliest days of glassmaking in this region. Donated from the rich private collection of Dr. Walter Moses, who founded the Eretz Israel Museum in 1958, this rare and beautiful assemblage of glass has been enhanced over the years by exciting new acquisitions and significant donations.
Visitors to the Glass Pavilion are drawn not only by the enchanting displays of ancient glass objects, but also by the presentation of the history, range and intricate art of glassmaking. Among the unique features are fragile relics of glass dating from biblical times, as well as some of the earliest blown glass discovered from the Roman period. Contributing greatly to the study of the originsGlass Pavilion of glassmaking, and especially the important invention of glass blowing, the Pavilion highlights the crucial role played by this region in the discovery of glass and its production.
We also went to the Man and His Work Center.
The Center displays the traditional material culture of the Land of Israel in numerous spheres of daily life, among them agriculture, crafts, domestic work, design, and decoration. The Center is rooted in the 1930s when Professor Avitsur, after whom it is named, began studying the subject and collecting ethnographical artifacts and utensils illustrating traditional ways of life.
Archaeological finds show that work tools, artifacts and production methods have scarcely changed over thousands of years of history and have been used until recent years in the Arab localities, Bedouin encampments and by Jews living in the Land of Israel and neighboring countries. Most of the exhibits in the collection are ethnographical and relate to recent generations; nonetheless they are enlightening as they show life in ancient times as well.
The Eretz Israel Museum, Tel Aviv, is a multidisciplinary museum that focuses on the history and culture of Israel through comprehensive permanent and temporary exhibits in the diverse fields of archeology, ethnography, post and philately, folklore, Judaica, traditional crafts, and popular art, cultural history, and local identity.
The museum, which is one of the third largest in Israel, is spread over an area of some 20 acres, and comprises about 15 buildings and various installations. Hundreds of thousands of items are housed in the diverse museum collections, among them numerous and rare treasures.
In the center of the museum, adjacent to the buildings and exhibit spaces, stands Tell Qasile - an ancient archeological mound dating from the 12th century BCE. Additional ancient relics, such as mosaics, oil presses, an ancient wine press, flour mills, etc. can be found in the gardens surrounding the site.
In addition to the ten permanent exhibitions and ancient sites, the museum displays about 20 temporary exhibits every year, and also conducts symposiums, lectures and meetings with curators and scholars in various fields. The museum site also houses an innovative planetarium, halls of various sizes, lecture rooms and workshops, a cafeteria, and a gift shop.

My name is Zahi Shaked
In 2000 I became a registered liscenced tourist guide.
My dedication in life is to pass on the ancient history of the Holy Land.
Following upon many years of travel around the world, which was highlighted by a very exciting emotional and soul-searching meeting with the Dalai Lama, I realized that I had a mission. To pass on the the history of the Holy Land, its religions, and in particular, the birth and development of Christianity.
In order to fulfill this calling in the best way possible, I studied in depth, visited, and personally experienced each and every important site of the ancient Christians. I studied for and received my first bachelors degree in the ancient history of the Holy Land, and am presently completing my studies for my second degree.(Masters)
Parralel to my studies, and in order to earn a living, I was employed for many years in advertising. What I learned there was how to attract the publics attention, generate and, increase interest, and assimilate information. All this I use as tools to describe, explain and deepen the interest in the sites that we visit. From my experience, I have learned that in this way, the Holy Land becomes more than just history, and that the large stones that we see scattered about in dissaray, join together one by one until they become - a Byzantine Church. This also happens when I lead a group of Pilgrims in the Steps of Jesus. We climb to the peak of Mount Precipice, glide over the land to the Sea of Galilee, land on the water and see the miracle which enfolds before us. This is a many faceted experience. Not only history which you will remember and cherish, but an experience which I hope will be inplanted in your hearts and minds, and will accompany you all the days of your life.
