GOOD MORNING AMERICA'S HOMEPAGE:
U.S. Senate: Impeachment Trial (Day 9)
The Senate impeachment trial of President Trump continues as Senators ask House impeachment managers and the President’s defense team questions.
Impeachment trial of President Trump | Jan. 27, 2020 (FULL LIVE STREAM)
The House managers wrapped up their arguments against President Trump on Jan. 24. Trump’s team, including lawyers Pat Cipollone and Jay Sekulow, now has 24 hours to present their case. After Trump’s lawyers conclude their presentation, senators will have an opportunity to submit questions to both sides in writing. Following that, debate will turn to whether to call witnesses and subpoena documents.
Trump was impeached by the House of Representatives in December for abuse of power and obstruction of Congress. Impeachment does not mean that the president has been removed from office. In the next phase, the Senate must hold a trial to make that determination. A Senate impeachment trial has happened only two other times in American history and once in the modern era. At the center of the Democrats’ case is that Trump sought to withhold military assistance and an Oval Office meeting until Ukraine announced investigations into former vice president Joe Biden and his son.

With opening arguments wrapped up in President Donald Trump’s impeachment trial, the next phase begins. For the next two days, senators get to ask questions of both legal teams. Kent, Ohio tour 44243 (458,285 out of 1,000,000 views)
Kent is a city in the U.S. state of Ohio and the largest city in Portage County. It is located along the Cuyahoga River in Northeast Ohio on the western edge of the county. The population was 28,904 in the 2010 Census and was estimated at 30,071 in 2016. The city is counted as part of the Akron Metropolitan Statistical Area and the larger Cleveland–Akron–Canton Combined Statistical Area.
Part of the Connecticut Western Reserve, Kent was settled in 1805 and was known for many years as Franklin Mills. Settlers were attracted to the area due to its location along the Cuyahoga River as a place for water-powered mills. Later development came in the 1830s and 1840s as a result of the settlement's position along the route of the Pennsylvania and Ohio Canal. Leading up to the American Civil War, Franklin Mills was noted for its activity in the Underground Railroad. With the decline of the canal and the emergence of the railroad, the town became the home of the Atlantic and Great Western Railroad maintenance shops through the influence of Marvin Kent. In 1864 the town was renamed Kent in honor of and in gratitude for Marvin Kent's efforts. It was incorporated as a village in 1867 and became a city after the 1920 Census. Today Kent is a college town best known as the home of the main campus of Kent State University, founded in 1910, and as the site of the 1970 Kent State shootings.
Historically a manufacturing center, education is the city's largest economic sector with Kent State University the city's, and one of the region's, largest employers. The Kent City School District and the Kent Free Library provide additional education opportunities and resources. Many of Kent's demographic elements are influenced by the presence of the university, particularly the median age, median income, and those living below the poverty level. The city is governed by a council-manager system with a city manager, a nine-member city council, and a mayor. Kent has nearly 20 parks and preserves and hosts a number of annual festivals including ones related to Earth Day, folk music, and the U.S. Independence Day. In addition to the Kent State athletic teams, the city also hosts a number of amateur and local sporting events at various times during the year. Kent is part of the Cleveland-Akron media market and is the city of license for three local radio stations and three television stations and includes the regional affiliates for National Public Radio (NPR) and the Public Broadcasting Service (PBS). Local transportation infrastructure includes a public bus service and hike-and-bike trails. As the home of the Davey Tree Expert Company, Kent is known as The Tree City while residents are referred to as Kentites. The city has produced a number of notable individuals, particularly in politics, athletics, and the entertainment industry.

Bike MS St Louis Missouri Bicycle Ride for the National Multiple Sclerosis MS Society Sept 2017 ????
Thanks to everyone that has donated to the fundraising effort.
Bike MS St. Louis Missouri Bicycle Ride for the National Multiple Sclerosis (MS) Society September 2017. This ride is just outside of St. Louis MO in Godfrey IL. I rode the 25 mile route on Saturday. In past years I've rode 75 and 100 mile routes. I have not been training and bike riding so I took the shorter route. I'm planning for next year to be more prepared and ride a longer route. So far I've raised $500 towards my goal of raising $1000 for the MS Society. Next year I will also have a more aggressive fund raising goal.
This marks the 8th year I will participate in Bike MS. Every year I begin my preparations, I think about my mom, uncle, and close family friend that have struggled with this disease. Because of them, I raise money and awareness about Multiple Sclerosis (MS) each year. In 2012 my mother passed away who lived with MS and she has always been my inspiration.
The Bike MS rides goal is to raise money and awareness for the fight against Multiple Sclerosis. The Bike MS ride is a two day bicycle ride, that offers multiple distances on both days 25, 50, 75, or 100 miles.
Per the Bike MS website:
Bike MS: Gateway Getaway Ride presented by Express Scripts is a 2 day event that will take you farther than you’ve ever gone before. In addition, you'll experience an incredible level of camaraderie as you embark on a journey filled with laughter, excitement, support and a profound sense of accomplishment.
Your participation will drive MS research forward faster, and deliver services to those who face the challenges of MS every day so they can live their best lives.
Multiple Sclerosis (MS) is an unpredictable, often disabling disease of the central nervous system. MS disrupts the flow of information within the brain, and between the brain and body.
