Some Like it Rough at Big Sandy Bay
Check out these 'medium' sized waves at Big Sandy Bay Management Area on Wolfe Island. If you like big waves this is the place to come on windy days (especially a Westerly wind).

Grass Creek Park, Kingston, Ontario
Small park about 15 minutes east of Kingston on Highway 2. Ideal for families with small children (2 - 8 year olds will enjoy it the most)
Kingston's wetland!
That awesome wetland is on an island not far from Kingston, Ontario.
I've never seen so many frogs... mostly leopard frogs and some HUGE bullfrogs... the video quality kindo suck but you can hear me being quite astonished of their size... and trust me I've seen my share of monster frogs!!
We need more conservation area like this one. Just suck bullfrogs envaded but those leopard frogs are doing oddly well altho these monsters must be feeding on them without hesitating.
Lemoine Point Time Lapses
There are several time lapse sequences, all taken at Lemoine Point Conservation Area in Kingston, Ontario. This little piece of wilderness in the city provides many excellent views of Collins Bay, Lake Ontario and the surrounding area in western Kingston and parts of neighbouring mainland Loyalist Township. Eastern Amherst Island can also be seen along much of the shoreline within the conservation area. Lemoine Point contains one of the largest tracts of accessible wooded Lake Ontario shoreline within the Kingston area. While it is largely a wooded area, as the first sequence shows, there is also a large marsh along the Collins Bay shoreline at the north end of the point.

Fall Water Fall
I went to Parrot Bay Conservation area to shoot the little water fall and make some land art. My original plan was to rake leaves into the water, up stream and out of frame. My first attempt left me exhausted and wondering if it was worth the effort. I decided to give it one more go and see how it looked when it was all said and done. So plan 2, for killing time and guarding my camera was making land art. I was off to a good start. Then it started raining. I never got a shot of my art. I think I'll go back and fix it up sometime soon. The music is a song I'm in the process of remixing. I think the part you hear won't change much. Almost done!

Chapter 8 3:43:15 - Workshops 1A
Chapter 9 3:59:29 - Workshops 1B
Chapter 10 4:05:57 - Exploration Updates
To fully explore and understand the ocean, we can no longer rely on a handful of large, expensive research vessels and vehicles. We truly need all hands on deck to do it.
On November 8-9, 2018, we brought together leaders and changemakers in ocean exploration, entertainment, recreation, and art to imagine new ways to empower an open, inclusive global community of ocean explorers. Our goal is to imagine creative ways to make the ocean so pervasive in modern culture that everyone has a positive association with and understanding of the sea.

Oshawa Waterfront
This is the waterfront in Oshawa, around Lakeview Park West. The waterfront trail runs through this area, right next to Lake Ontario. I increased the video speed for pace, which makes it look like cars, trucks and birds move really fast in Oshawa.

Wolf Pack Feeds on a Giant Bull Elk in British Columbia! | Trail Cam Tuesday - 004
In the wilderness of British Columbia, John came across a six-point bull elk that's been killed by the wolves he was tracking. The elk was the dominant bull in the area and had mated with his harem of fifteen cows earlier that fall, passing along his genes before succumbing to the wolves in his weakened state. Since the wasn't suitable for a stakeout with his big camera, John placed a trail cam at the site and left immediately. This is what unfolded over the coming days and nights....
#TrailCamTuesday on New Year's Eve! We hope you all have had a wonderful 2019 and we look forward to sharing more great videos and wildlife news in 2020 with you. Thank you for your support in 2019 and stay tuned early in 2020 for big news about wolves and other wildlife! Happy New Year, everyone!

This campground is surrounded by a mature forest, has two sandy beaches with excellent lake views and two hike in campsite areas. Most of the sites offer privacy and the washrooms and showers are a little outdated they were clean and warm enough. The trail was excellent offering many different views of Silent Lake, Quiet Lake, Ponds, Beaver Dams and a chance of seeing moose.

Audubon Society of Portland: Marmot Cabin on the Joe Miller Wildlife Sanctuary
Experience an unforgettable overnighter at our rustic cabin in the foothills of Mt. Hood, Groups will meet our Naturalists at the Marmot Cabin (near Sandy) and have the site to themselves as they explore a remote Wildlife Sanctuary. Children will seek out signs of Beaver, Deer and Elk as they venture through the lush vegetation of a pristine riparian zone. Students learn to read animal sign, identify plants and interpret the landscape, honing their own naturalist skills along the way. After dinner, students will venture into the darkness in search of bats and owls (weather permitting), and return for an educational program on these nocturnal creatures. In the morning, children will get to learn even more about our native animals via a hands-on study of pelts, skulls and specimens. We will design a program that builds, expands and enhances your environmental curriculum. This is sure to be an experience your students will talk about all year!
