Bunbury Wildlife Park - Western Australia
The Bunbury Wildlife Park is located on Prince Phillip Drive next to the Big Swamp Wetland.
The Wildlife Park is a very popular place with families and after a wander through the park grounds admiring the exhibits, it is great to sit and relax in the cafe with a drink and a bite to eat.
Activities in the Wildlife Park include feeding birds in the walk through aviaries, interacting with the cockatoos, patting the kangaroos, picnicking and listening to talks by the keepers.

Moolyup Swamp: With Elder Carol Pettersen in the footsteps of Miernam ancestors
A film featuring Elder Carol Pettersen as she visits Moolyup Swamp, also known as Lake Pleasant View, 35 km east of Albany on Western Australia's South Coast.
Carol shares knowledge about Noongar values and beliefs that stem from, and hold sacred, the swamps, keipi, freshwater and wetlands of the South Coast. For Noongar People, swamps are celebrated as fertile nurseries, places of nourishing abundance, cradles of life—they stand for replenishment and rebirth.
With its granite outcrop adjacent to a vibrant wetland teeming with life, Moolyup Swamp is not only special for Noongar people and culture, but a priceless asset for the whole community. The film describes the deep care Carol has for Moolyup Swamp, and her determination to pass knowledge on to the next generation.
We acknowledge the connections and stories held by many other families… still to be told.
This film forms part of the Green Skills' Gondwana Link Wetlands project. The film was created by film maker Frank Rijavec. This project is supported by funding from the Western Australian Government’s State Natural Resource Management Program (supported by Royalties for Regions), and the Koorabup Trust. Warriup Swamp: With Elders Eugene Eades and Carol Pettersen in the footsteps of Miernam ancestors
A film featuring Elders Eugene Eades and Carol Pettersen on a visit to Warriup Swamp, also know as Mullocullup Nature Reserve, east of Albany near Green Range, on Western Australia's South Coast. Warriup Swamp has significance for many Noongar families of the south coast - the Miernam or Menang People. Each family carries its own stories or 'passports of knowledge' for Mullocullup. In this film Eugene & Carol speak of knowledge passed to them through their families.
At Warriup Swamp Eugene Eades says: “All freshwater is sacred. What’s sacred should remain sacred and be treated that way. We want to bring the sacred back in—it’s part of our heritage, it’s part of our culture—we want to restore that as close as we possibly can.”
Carol Pettersen says: “You got to honour the spirits. You got to keep the spirits alive, otherwise the land will die. We have seen this is many places—the land actually dies if we don’t maintain that connection with it. You look at the shape of this swamp—it’s a living, spiritual entity and our presence all the time adds energy to those spirits—they need us, we need them.”
Warriup Swamp is not only special for Noongar people, but a priceless asset for the whole community.
We acknowledge the connections and stories held by many other families… still to be told.
This film forms part of the Green Skills' Gondwana Link Wetlands project. The film was created by film maker Frank Rijavec. Gym and Fitness Centre Bunbury WA
Gyms Bunbury. Vampfit Gym and Fitness centre in Bunbury, A customer who was working out at our gym, recently grabbed an impromptu video on his iPhone of future body building champion 'Ryan' doing a leg press of 800 kilos! That about 1760 lbs in the old language! He even had to strap his knees so they didn't blow out!!
Plus, they had to stack extra weights on the Leg press machine (Look in the centre at the top!) as they ran out of space on the bars.
Pretty impressive Ryan!

Run Through The Jungle
Cosmo's Factory
Lyrics:
Oh thought it was a might mare
Though it come so true
They told me don't go walking slow
The devil's on the loose
Better run through the jungle
Better run through the jungle
Better run through the jungle
Don't look back to see
Thought I heard a rumbling
Calling to my name
Two hundred million guns are loaded
Satan cries take aim
Better run through the jungle
Better run through the jungle
Better run through the jungle
Don't look back to see
Over on the mountain Thunder magic spoke
Let the people know my wisdom
Fill the land with smoke
Better run through the jungle
Better run through the jungle
Better run through the jungle
Don't look back to see
